Grantley Hall Chefs Demonstrating at The Great Yorkshire Show
AA Hotel of the Year 2022-23, Grantley Hall, is exhibiting at the 164th Great Yorkshire Show with three of its talented chefs demonstrating on the Main Stage in the Great Yorkshire Food Theatre.
The chefs in attendance across the festivities include Michelin-starred Shaun Rankin, who will be demonstrating from 11:00-11:30 on Thursday 13th July, Head Chef in Bar & Restaurant EightyEight, Samira Effa at 12:00-12:30 on Tuesday 11th July and finally Stefan Rose, Head Pastry Chef at Grantley Hall at 11:00-11:30 on Friday 14th July.
Shaun Rankin will be demonstrating alongside Sarah Szmit, Demi Chef de Partie at his restaurant and will be showcasing the ‘Turbot, Caviar, Cabbage, Dill and Lemon Verbena’ dish from the current Taste of Home ten-course tasting menu.
Samira Effa will be supported by her Junior Sous Chef, Marcin Baszkiewicz, for her demonstration and the pair will be showing a dish from EightyEight’s upcoming new menu; the ‘Grilled Diver King Scallops’ dish with smoked kimchi butter sauce, leek and oyster leaf.
Stefan Rose will be producing a dessert of ‘Warm Yorkshire Honey Madeleine Sponge with Cherries Jubilee’ with the support of his pastry team on the day.
Grantley Hall, located just outside of Ripon, is home to five restaurants which vary from fine dining to Pan-Asian and employs almost 70 chefs across the estate. You can find Grantley Hall over the Great Yorkshire Show at Stand 425, which is located on Sixth Avenue opposite the Food Hall.
Shaun Rankin, Chef Patron at his namesake restaurant at Grantley Hall, said: “It’s always a fantastic day at the Great Yorkshire Show and allows us to speak first-hand to our local diners, ultimately sharing our absolute love for excellent food!”
Simon Crannage, Executive Chef at Grantley Hall, said: “It’s brilliant to see both Samira and Stefan at the Great Yorkshire Show this week, flying the flag for the exceptionally talented chefs here at Grantley Hall.
“I’m passionate about our F&B offering at Grantley Hall and truly believe there’s something for everyone to sample, whether that’s Asian-fusion cuisine at Bar & Restaurant EightyEight by Samira, an outstanding afternoon tea by Stefan or modern-British food, executed beautifully in Fletchers Restaurant.”
Opening its doors in 2019, after a multi-million-pound four-year restoration project, today Grantley Hall boasts 47 bedrooms, five indulgent restaurants, including Michelin-starred Shaun Rankin at Grantley Hall, along with three stunning bars and an award-winning spa and state-of-the-art gym.
