Michelin-starred Inn dating back to the 14th Century, situated in the picturesque village of Harome, a couple of miles outside of Helmsley.

Owner and Michelin-star chef Andrew Pern’s ‘modern Yorkshire’ style of cooking places great emphasis on his North Yorkshire roots and seasonal ingredients.

Andrew has written two books ‘Black Pudding and Foie Gras’, which was named after Andrew’s signature dish and is the only permanent feature on their changing seasonal menu and ‘Loose Birds and Game’ which is a guide for those wanting to learn more about cooking game such as pheasant, partridge and wild salmon.

Harome’s signature dishes include: Ham Knuckle Terrine with Pineapple Pickle, Fillet of Beef with Braised Shin and Horseradish Risotto and Ginger Parkin served with Rhubarb Ripple Ice Cream.

Opposite the The Star Inn you can stay in one their nine unique bedrooms which all have their own quirky features. If you have a special occasion coming up check out their Foodie Feast Break which includes two nights stay, their 7 course tasting menu and dine from their a la carte menu on the second night.
