Iberica Leeds Wine Tasting & Food Pairing Event

Ibérica has introduced a selection of new wines to the list to accompany the coming autumnal season and menu. Offering a truly extensive list of wines, Ibérica is committed to showcasing the best quality at great prices, with some wines unavailable anywhere else in the UK.
To provide the people of Leeds with an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the wines on offer, Ibérica will be hosting a pairing dinner on Wednesday, September 27th, with one of Spain’s top winemakers. Tickets for the tasting cost £50, which includes five wines paired with tapas to share and a dessert with sherry, hosted by Terras Gaudas Winery. The event starts at 7 pm and will run until 9:30 pm. Book your place.
13% of the world’s vineyards are on Spanish Soil, meaning there is a huge diversity of wines produced in Spain, with grapes coming in third place as the country’s most cultivated crop, behind cereals and olives. There are over 60 different regions producing wines that range from great value to highly prestigious, and it’s Ibérica’s aim to create a wine list that showcases the diversity of Spanish wines and its different regional varieties.

Ibérica, which sources top quality products from Spain, serves its long-running classics, such as the Ibérico Hams, Croquetas de Jamón and Asparagus Toast with Manchego alongside a selection of dishes that change with the seasons. Recently updating its recipe for Paella, the updated dish is crafted in a Valencian-style, which is dry, with crunchy, caramelised Socarrat. Like the Spanish do, Ibérica will now scrape the socarrat goodness from the bottom of the pan and mix it with the rice to unleash incredible flavours in the vegetarian, Valencian (with chicken) or seafood paellas.
As well as the new wine list, which includes additional names in terms of wines, new craft and draught beer will also be coming to Ibérica, always best enjoyed at La Bodega. Located in the basement of the restaurant, La Bodega has a more casual feel than the main floor.
