Summertime Cookery Demos at The Feversham Arms Helmsley with Head Chef Jon Appleby

Summertime and the living is easy at the Feversham Arms Helmsley. With warmer weather, and longer days to enjoy this resort-style hotel in Helmsley comes into its own, showcasing its outdoor swimming pool with an al fresco dining terrace.

Head Chef Jon Appleby will be hosting two summer cookery demonstration events. The first on Tuesday, 18th July is ‘Summer dinner parties’, followed by ‘Seafood from the Yorkshire Coast’ on Tuesday 5th September.

Each event at the Feversham Arms Helmsley will showcase two dishes demonstrated by Jon, followed by sampling the dishes for a convivial lunch in The Weathervane restaurant. At the July event, learn how to prepare Twice-Baked Cheese Soufflé and Pan Roasted Chicken Supreme, Lyonnaise Potatoes, Asparagus, Poached Egg, and Braised Hispi Cabbage, with Bearnaise Sauce.

New season menus from the two AA rosette ‘Weathervane’ by Head Chef Jon Appleby, have freshness and tasty, local provenance as their key ingredients. Lunchtime starters include Queen Scallops, Prawn and Avocado cocktail, and Thai Crispy Beef salad. Main dishes include Confit Duck and Moules Frites, along with tasty nibbles, side dishes, grazing boards, wraps, Club sandwiches and Classics, such as Caesar salad.
