There’s something special about poolside dining – and eating alfresco beside shimmering waters is even more special when it’s in the heart of North Yorkshire.

The outdoor dining experience at The Feversham Arms Hotel & Verbena Spa this year promises to be more spectacular than ever and really capture that luxury holiday spirit.
A brand new Poolside Menu has been designed by acting head chef Christopher Hobley. He said: “We are aiming to really wow this year – with an offering of sheer opulence. Our Poolside Menu is packed with seafood and crustacea including lobster, crab and oysters. We will be channelling that feeling of a lavish escape with Champagne by the pool.”
There will be meals to suit all appetites – from snacks, sandwiches and salads through to more filling ‘big bite’ options. Oysters will be available in three, six, and 12 and they will be served with a chilli vinaigrette and a shallot and red wine vinaigrette. Seafood dishes include dressed Whitby Bay lobster, bois boudran and saffron rouille as well as dressed Brixham crab with saffron mayonnaise. Other menu highlights include the salt cod brandade, ciabatta and extra virgin oil from the ‘small bites’ section and classic beer battered haddock and mushy peas from ‘big bites’.

Prices start from £3.50 for snacks, £7.50 for small bites and £11 for big bites.

Christopher, 30, started his training at the The Woolpack Inn in Beckington before moving onto well-known kitchens at Charlton House Hotel in Somerset and The Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath. The young chef then had the opportunity to work under the renowned Albert Roux OBE, gaining experience in the acclaimed Chez Roux group of restaurants. It is for this group he worked up to the position of head chef.

You can book a poolside table at the four red star venue – which boasts two AA Rosettes – from 11am until 6pm throughout the summer season. It’s also available in the lounge and via room service.
