New restaurant to spice up Leeds’ food scene next month

After the success of their London branches, Cinnamon Kitchen is heading up North and luckily for us, straight to Leeds’ City Centre.
Who’s behind the Cinnamon Kitchen?
Executive Chef and CEO Vivek Singh leads this contemporary Indian restaurant and is recognised as one of the most influential Indian chefs in the UK, with plenty of TV appearances on Saturday Kitchen and Masterchef.
Vivek is even set to appear at Leeds’ Temple Newsam food festival, as part of a chef demo lineup curated by Yorkshire Food Guide.
Cinnamon Kitchen restaurant & bar is launching in partnership with The Queens Hotel, promising a dining experience infused with creativity and heritage.

The new dining experience will introduce Singh’s signature style, blending traditional Indian flavours with contemporary techniques – to a fresh audience in the heart of Yorkshire.
Alistair Campbell, General Manager at The Queens Hotel, added: “Cinnamon Kitchen is a fantastic addition to The Queens and to Leeds as a whole. The combination of Vivek Singh’s expertise and the unique concept behind this restaurant will bring something truly special to the city’s culinary landscape.”
Drawing inspiration from historic Indian waiting rooms, Cinnamon Kitchen will be designed by Studio Sorana and feature high ceilings and stunning art deco elements.

Signature dishes will include Masala Grilled Salmon, Old Delhi Butter Chicken, and Lamb Roganjosh Shepherd’s Pie, alongside an extensive selection of chaats and plant-based options.
Exclusive to the Leeds location, new dishes such as Seekh Kebab in the Hole and a Yorkshire-inspired Curd & Cardamom Tart will offer a unique fusion of regional British and Indian flavours.

To celebrate the launch, on the 7th and 8th of May, a Cinnamon Kitchen tuk-tuk will be taking a tour of Leeds, handing out goodie bags – if you find a lucky token you’ll even get to win a complimentary 3-course dinner!
This soon-to-be foodie hotspot will officially open on Saturday, the 17th May – spring couldn’t come sooner.
If you’re heading for a pre-dinner drink, we also have our list of the very best bars to pick from in Leeds City Centre.
