In this Terms of Sale agreement ‘YFG’ or the ‘Agent’ refers to Yorkshire Food Guide Ltd. Our goal is to provide you with bar, restaurant and where applicable restaurant and hotel voucher offers (Offers Service) or event tickets (Events Service) that you can purchase from us, to experience Yorkshire’s best dining destinations.

The vouchers and event tickets YFG provide are supplied by third party companies (Merchants) with their own rules and regulations. When using our Offers Service and/or Event Service  collectively known as the Services) you agree to be legally bound by the following Terms of Sale, relevant to the service you use, whether or not you choose to read them and they will continue to apply every time you use our Services.

Whilst YFG has carefully hand-picked everyone who is featured on this Site (, we accept no responsibility or liability for any information posted by Merchants on YFG’s Site or any loss, damage or injury sustained at an event or through the purchase of a voucher or ticket.

We reserve the right to amend these Terms of Sale at any time, and the new Terms of Sale will then apply to any future orders by you.

Delivery and Access

1.0 To make a purchase from this Site ( you must be over eighteen years of age.

1.1 Upon purchase of any of our Services, your voucher or ticket will be delivered to the email address that you provide at checkout. If you do not receive your voucher or event ticket within 24 hours following purchase, please firstly check your junk mail folder before contacting [email protected].

1.2 If you do not inform us of the non-receipt of Services within a reasonable time (in any event at least 72 hours before an event or expiry date of an offer voucher) we will have no liability to you.

1.3 We aim to deliver Services promptly, but we do not promise that delivery or access will happen immediately nor are we liable for any problems, delays or losses in respect of delivery or access arising out of any cause beyond our control. Without limitation, we shall not be responsible for any problem you may experience with the Services due to the act or fault of any telecoms provider, internet service provider and/or technology supplier; systems maintenance; any incompatibility or technical fault in respect of your computer hardware software and/or systems and/or mobile phone; the details you entered at checkout are inaccurate or out-of-date; your email in-box or your phone message mailbox is full; you are not following any instructions we give you for using the Site or accessing the Services; your mobile phone is out of range or for some other reason cannot be contacted or any other circumstance where we send you or grant you access to a particular Service but you are unable to receive it through no fault of our own.

1.4 Further, the Service is subject to the limitations of the enabling technology on which it is reliant and may be adversely affected by network performance and other operational factors beyond our control including without limitation congestion, network coverage, dropped connections, the performance of your own device and the maintenance and support of secure network connections. We accept no responsibility if you do not receive the Service for any of these reasons.

1.5 If for any reason we are unable to supply a particular Service we will endeavour to inform you as soon as possible. We reserve the right to permanently withdraw any Services, in which event you will be entitled to a refund of any fees already paid by you to the extent that the fees relate to use of the Services following the withdrawal date.

1.6 YFG will highlight any terms, conditions or rules relating to the Services purchased of which it is aware and which it considers particularly significant, onerous or unusual. This will generally include age restrictions, event ticket types etc. Information on where you can find full details of relevant terms, conditions or rules will be available on the Product in questions page on our Site ( or via the Merchant and/or event’s website.

1.7 Before you finalise your booking, please read all the information that applies to the Services i.e. the terms of the Voucher and/or Event Tickets. If you or any member of your party has particular requirements, please raise these when booking and the Merchant will endeavour to address your query. There can be no guarantee that requirements can be met if notified at the event or day you redeem the voucher.

Events service

2.0 The Events Service allows you to purchase tickets for an event on a set date. By placing an order for a ticket, you accept the terms and conditions stated by the Merchant and/or event. Full details are available on the Merchant’s own website.

2.1 YFG sell tickets on behalf of their chosen Merchants. Tickets cannot be transferred, exchanged, or refunded once purchased other than for the reasons set out in these Terms of Sale.

2.2 The Merchant will ask you to show your e-ticket in printed form or electronically on the day of the event. On occasion the Merchant may ask that the cardholder presents the card that the tickets were booked on as identification.

2.3 Unlawful resale (or attempted unlawful resale) of a ticket is grounds for seizure or cancellation of that ticket without refund or other compensation.

2.4 In addition to the ticket price your purchase will require payment of a booking fee per ticket, a transaction fees per order and/or other supplementary fees which may apply to the event. Those fees are not refundable.

2.5 We will not be responsible for any tickets that are lost or stolen.

2.6 Breach of the Merchant’s terms and conditions or any unacceptable behaviour likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury shall entitle the Merchant to eject you from the venue.

2.7 No refunds will be offered to customers who are refused entry or ejected from a venue on account of late arrival, being or appearing to be under age (age restrictions on tickets may apply), declining to be searched, abusive, threatening, drunken or other anti-social behaviour (including smoking in no smoking areas), carrying offensive weapons or illegal substances, or making unauthorised audio, video or photographic recordings.

2.8 Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the Merchant. If the event is cancelled, please contact us at [email protected] for information on whether you are entitled to receive a refund. You should always check that an event is going ahead at the scheduled date, time and venue. YFG cannot guarantee that they will inform the customer of any changes to the event date, time or venue.

2.9 If the Merchant cancels the event or makes significant changes to the venue, date or event time they will attempt to contact you by email or in urgent cases by phone. The Merchant has the responsibility to contact you, not YFG.

2.10 If an event is rescheduled, changed or moved, the Merchant will usually give you the option of either retaining or exchanging your tickets for the new date/location, or alternatively claiming a refund. If an event is cancelled by the Merchant you will normally be offered a refund. Please note that the Booking Fee and any Transaction Fees are not refundable in these circumstances.

2.11 Any refund will usually be paid, using the same method you used to buy the tickets, within 30 days of the original date of the event.

2.12 Neither the Merchant nor YFG shall have any further liability beyond the value of the ticket. Neither the Merchant nor YFG shall be liable for any loss of enjoyment or wasted expenditure. Personal arrangements including travel, subsistence and accommodation relating to the Event which have been arranged by you are at your own risk. The Merchant and YFG accept no responsibility for any personal property.

2.13 Always check your tickets upon receipt and advise us promptly of any errors. Mistakes when ordering cannot always be corrected and any corrections are discretionary.

Offers Service

3.0 Vouchers purchased from this Site are promotional vouchers that may be purchased from Merchants through YFG, to be used in exchange for goods and services, either at a discounted rate from their actual cost, include an additional product that would not usually be included in the cost of the item/s, or a set package/menu that is not usually available.

3.1 By purchasing a Voucher you agree to the specified Terms and Conditions of each Voucher sold, which is found on each product’s page.

3.2 The Voucher you purchase is redeemable for goods or services by the Merchant, who is the provider of the goods or services detailed on the Voucher purchased. YFG is the ‘Agent’ and not the provider of the good or services you’re purchasing.

3.3 All Vouchers shall be subject to the terms and conditions that YFG and the participating Merchant set out.

3.4 The Merchant shall be fully responsible for any and all injuries, illnesses, damages, claims, liabilities and costs suffered by or in respect of a customer, caused in whole or in part by the Merchant, as well as for any unclaimed property liability arising from unredeemed Vouchers or portions thereof. You waive, and release YFG from, any claim, liabilities, damages, or injury arising from or related to any act or omission of Merchant in connection with a Voucher or the services/goods provided in connection therewith and/or as it relates to compliance with applicable unclaimed property and other laws relating to the redemption of the Vouchers or any portion thereof.

3.5 Vouchers are redeemable in their entirety and on a one-time basis only and may not be redeemed incrementally. Nothing within these terms waives your rights under card scheme rules in relation to Chargebacks.

3.6 Once you have completed the transaction to purchase a Voucher, if you have not yet redeemed it, you may cancel the transaction and request a refund within 14 days from the date of purchase, by contacting us at [email protected]

3.7 You must redeem your Voucher before the expiry date specified on the Voucher or subsequently communicated to you. After the expiry date, no refunds will be issued for expired Vouchers.

3.8 Most of Vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated. All Vouchers should be used before the expiry date on the Voucher. A Voucher will be deemed invalid if it is out of date. If you need some extra time to use your voucher, we offer extensions by contacting us at [email protected]. An admin fee of £12 applies. Vouchers can only be extended if they are still inside their expiry date. Your Voucher may be non-extendable if we or the Merchant no longer offer the same experience. If your Voucher cannot be extended we will discuss your options.

3.9 The Voucher may be subject to further terms and limitations made clear on the Voucher and subject to the further terms and conditions of the Merchant.

4.0 The Merchant nor YFG take responsibility for lost or stolen Vouchers or Voucher reference numbers used to make a redemption with a Merchant.

4.1 It is at the discretion of the Merchant to determine whether Vouchers can be combined with any other promotions, vouchers, or offers.

4.2 Vouchers purchased for a Merchant who offers food and beverage are subject to the applicable laws for the sale, provision and redemption of alcohol.
