Coniston Hotel Skipton named amongst the best dog-friendly stays in UK
The Coniston Hotel in Skipton has just been named amongst the very best in the UK.
The charming North Yorkshire hotel has been rated in a new list of the top 21 best dog-friendly hotels in the UK by publisher Good Housekeeping.
Coniston Hotel Skipton is the only dog-friendly Yorkshire hotel to be listed in the new guide and ranks highly, coming in at number 5.
It boasts several stunning dog-friendly rooms and suites, as well as a selection of private self-catering holiday cottages with their own enclosed gardens.
Furry friends are also welcome on the dog-friendly Yorkshire hotel’s terrace, as well as inside Coniston Hotel Skipton restaurant The View and Coniston’s lounge and bar, Macleod’s.
A stand-out for its “unique dining options” and “world-class spa facilities”, guests can also enjoy direct access to the dog-friendly Yorkshire hotel’s expansive grounds for a short stroll and an abundance of outside activities during their stay.
Good Housekeeping explains: “With 1,400 acres to explore, not to mention the countless beautiful walking trails on the doorstep, there’s no better place to escape with man’s best friend.
“In addition to unique dining options, the pet-friendly property offers world-class spa facilities and treatments and a host of exciting, adventurous outdoor activities, such as fishing, e-biking, clay pigeon shooting and off-road driving experiences serving up a host of experiences to suit any member of the family.

The Coniston Hotel Skipton welcomes up to two dogs of any size for an additional charge of £20 per dog, per night.
Guests are required to advise the hotel they are bringing a dog in advance of their visit, in order to ensure one of the dog-friendly Yorkshire hotel’s rooms is available.
