‘Sunday Club’ launches at the Feversham Arms
Combining two of the most popular treats that we Brits enjoy, a spa resort and the nation’s favourite foodie indulgence, the Sunday Roast, the Feversham Arms Hotel in the picturesque North Yorkshire market town of Helmsley has created ‘Sunday Club’ – the perfect way to round off the weekend.
Arrive at the beautiful resort-style spa hotel in time for lunch in the light-filled surroundings of The Weathervane restaurant, which is served between noon and 4 pm.
The package includes a three-course Sunday Lunch, featuring a selection of mouth-watering starters to whet your appetite for the mains, which include the ever-popular Roast Sirloin of Beef or Roast Loin of Pork, locally sourced from reputable farmers, served with duck fat roasties and Yorkshire pudding, or apple sauce, crackling and black pudding sausage roll and seasonal vegetables.
Lighter mains include Scottish salmon with citrus and caper butter sauce or a seasonal vegetarian option, which is currently bubble and squeak, served with poached hen’s egg and chive butter sauce served with watercress and pine nut salad.
The dessert selection is tantalizingly good, with baked white chocolate cookie dough and malt ice cream or sticky toffee pudding are certainly the naughty choices!
The restaurant has a relaxed and friendly ambiance overlooking the property’s pool terrace in the heart of Helmsley, near the church so you can have a potter around this pretty with its smattering of gift shops, arty studios, and boutiques, or a walk-off lunch by the river meandering through Duncombe Park.
Your room will be available to check in from 3pm, and from then on until the next morning you can enjoy a relaxed leisurely swim, or use of the other facilities including saunarium, monsoon shower or outdoor hot tub and spa treatments may be booked in advance to make the most of your Verbena Spa experience.
In the evening you may wish to dine in the restaurant again, or even order room service to make the most of this relaxing mini break.
