Saltmoore, North Yorkshire’s New Wellness Retreat Opens Beach House

Former Raithwaite Sandsend Saltmoore, the new nature-based retreat situated on the North Yorkshire coastline, opened The Beach House in February following its successful launch in November 2024.

Designed by Sapin Studio, the interiors are inspired by the sea and the natural beauty of the surrounding woodlands, creating a serene, coastal retreat.

The new rooms offer laidback luxury accommodation for families and couples alike as well as welcoming four-legged friends.

The Coastal Classic Balcony bedrooms extend views out to the local woodland whilst Coastal Classic Outdoor Bath rooms include private outdoor terraces and tubs.

Both The Saltwick Suite and The Sandsend Suite boast soothing coastal interiors such as wood panelling and ocean tones, freestanding bathtubs and lounge areas for guests to gently unwind in.

Following this addition to its inventory, Saltmoore comprises two brand new hotels with a total of 72 bedrooms, a state-of-the-art spa with treatment journeys by Wildsmith Skin, and a variety of F&B outlets overseen by Executive Chef Adam Maddock and Chef Consultant Tommy Banks.

What’s new for former Raithwaite Sandsend’s Saltmoore?

Positioned between the unspoilt coastline and the heather-clad North York Moors, Saltmoore offers two hotels, Saltmoore House and The Beach House.

The Beach House, a family-friendly 29-room property, provides relaxed, coastal-inspired accommodation with woodland views, outdoor tubs, and dog-friendly options.

Guests can unwind in spacious privacy, from cosy ‘Snug’ rooms to luxurious suites, many with balconies and roll-top baths.

The spa, ‘The Sanctuary at Saltmoore,’ is a truly holistic escape with an indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and six treatment rooms, featuring Wildsmith products and rejuvenating treatments inspired by the surrounding natural elements.

For those a little more adventurous, begin your morning at Saltmoore by taking a plunge in the ice bath, a real wake-up to sharpen the senses and improve your mood.

Guests can also enjoy a cryotherapy chamber, which is said to offer relief from chronic inflammation and elevate skin health.

The onsite Wellness Café serves smoothies, nourishing bone broth, and seasonal healthy dishes.
