Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Award (REYTAs) Winners Announced
The winners of the 2019 Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards were announced at the REYTA’s glittering award ceremony on 14th March, at the Bonus Arena, Hull.
Now in its 10th year, the REYTA’s are an annual celebration of Hull and East Yorkshire’s tourism industry; recognising the quality of businesses, individuals and the contribution they make to the area’s visitor economy.
In 2019, there were 14 awards covering a wide range of categories available to enter. After a long process of shortlisting over 200 applications down to 76 Remarkable tourism businesses, each of which then, independently mystery shopped.
Award Winners

The Most Remarkable Restaurant
TAPASYA@Marina has been recognised as the most Remarkable Restaurant in Hull and East Yorkshire.
Tapan Mahapatra, Director commented: “We are most proud of our successes and Team Tapasya have worked very hard for this recognition. Tapasya Group have supported the REYTA events over the last 5 years and we are delighted to take home this prestigious Award.”

Over the years Tapasya has upheld its reputation for providing Indian cuisine like no other. By building up relationships with local suppliers of the finest Yorkshire produce, the restaurant has been able to offer quality fare, prepared with ancestral Indian methods. Tapasya Restaurant group continues to offer and bring new dining experiences to the region and has recently launched new menus including, Vegan and Gluten free.
