Vegan North Leeds – Eat North’s First Ever Exclusively Vegan Line-Up

Saturday 14th July 2018 will mark the inaugural Vegan North – Eat North’s first ever exclusively-vegan line-up of eight street food traders, along with award-winning vegan beers on tap, courtesy of North Brewing Co., as well as vegan wines and soft drinks.

Vegan North will showcase the best of plant-based dishes and vegan junk food; from vegan Berlin döners to Mediterranean mezze platters, and sweet options of coffee and vegan cakes. The event will see one or two traders showcase their fully-vegan offerings for the first time, whilst welcoming old favourites and new faces, including Leeds-based pop-up Doner Summer and Oporto Bar’s own Knave’s Kitchen.

Eat North is a collaboration between North Brewing Co. and Leeds’ annual food and drink festival, Leeds Indie Food. After more vegan events than ever before, during the fourth annual Leeds Indie Food festival this May, combined with the popularity of Eat North’s monthly Veg North editions, Leeds Indie Food and North Brewing Co. are now hosting the first ever Vegan North.

Alongside a tasty food and drink offering, expect outdoor games such as badminton and corn hole, along with outdoor/indoor seating, DJs, a live band, the chance to have your portrait drawn by the incredible illustrator, Molly Pukes, and a stall by Leeds-based, small batch producer, Just Mylk, offering tasters of (and the chance to buy) a selection of their organic, homemade nut milks.

Doner Summer – seitan, vegan Berlin döners with pickles, fresh herbs, garlic mayo and hot sauce wrapped up in a traditional döner flatbread.
Fat Annie’s (goes vegan) – vegan versions of their New York-inspired hot dogs.
Knave’s Kitchen – 100% vegan junk food, including seitan fish finger wraps, crispy satay tofu and onion bhaji burgers.
That Old Chestnut – delicious vegan cakes and loaves.
The Allotment – veggie wraps and halloumi fries.
Little Bao Boy (goes vegan) – steamed bao buns with vegan fillings.
MorMor – healthy street food inspired by dishes from the Middle East and the Mediterranean.
Rabbit Hole Coffee – coffee and espresso martinis.

Eat North continues every Saturday from midday until late, throughout the summer until 25 August 2018, with the next #VegNorth on 11 August and a Bank Holiday special on 25 August 2018.
