Whitelock’s Leeds hosts monthly dinner club with a twist on British classics
//= get_the_date( 'dS F Y' ); ?>
Hosted in the beautiful Turk’s Head bar, Whitelock’s Leeds returned with their monthly dinner club where Chef Jordan McDarby put his own flare on his favourite childhood classics.

Serving up some of Britain’s most-loved dishes, the April special saw a five-course menu of familiar dishes, cooked and crafted with a fine dining twist.

The first course of the night consisted of a mammoth shell on prawn with ’nduja butter and avocado mousse.

Followed by a “beef paste sandwich” of beef carpaccio, sun-dried tomatoes and rocket pesto served on a herb croute – a big hit with customers on the evening.

The fish course featured what’s possibly the UK’s most iconic dish but with a very cheffy spin. tempura cod cheeks, katsu sauce and duck fat chips. So good!

Next up, a twist on shepherd’s pie, made with garlic and herb lamb rump, butternut squash mash and mint jus. Then finally, saving the best for last, the evening ended on a sweet high with banoffee pie, perfectly paired with miso caramel and crushed honeycomb.

To make the evening even more spectacular, each course is expertly paired with a drink to accompany the mouthwatering flavours.
Returning on the final Thursday of every month to Turk’s Head, one of the best bars in Leeds – the May special is set to feature exciting Spanish flavours and we simply cannot wait.
Keep an eye out on Whitelock’s Leeds website for details on the next dinner club and book your space before they sell out.
