The Crown and Cushion at Welburn

Located in the heart of the delightful village of Welburn, North Yorkshire, The Crown and Cushion is a traditional village inn. Serving a classic British menu using carefully selected produce from local suppliers.

With the building dating from the 18th Century, the Inn has a wonderful traditional bar, stocked with local beers, hand-pulled ales and a considered wine list. The bar also accommodates informal dining, with large wooden tables and roaring open fires. The two further downstairs areas within the pub provide distinctive rooms for comfortable dining. Outside, the rear terrace and garden provide a fantastic space for outside eating and drinking.

With provenance at the heart of their menus, The Crown and Cushion a la carte menu is a collection of thoughtfully selected dishes that showcase the best of local produce and classic British dining. Freshly dug potatoes, twisty carrots and just tugged beetroots, the majority of which come from their very own Mount St John kitchen garden. Their meat, game and poultry are sourced from producers who are as passionate about sustainable agriculture.

Located outside of the historic city of York, ideal to visit after a day trip to the nearby Castle Howard.
