Leading UK food critic raves about Sheffield restaurant: Domo Sheffield
//= get_the_date( 'dS F Y' ); ?>
Jay Rayner, award-winning writer, journalist and critic for the Observer, The Guardian’s sister newspaper, set off on a recent venture to Sheffield’s family-run Sardinian restaurant, Domo. Combining a warm welcome, superb Sardinian dishes with a twist and “culinary enthusiasm”, Domo Sheffield has proved their appeal to a spectrum of customers from far and wide.

The Sheffield restaurant is found in the beloved Kelham Island district, the 64-seater restaurant showcases the finest Italian ingredients and flavours in their selection of sharing plates, pizza, pasta, desserts and more.
Bringing to life classic Sardinian cuisine with a squeeze of Sheffield’s influence, Jay Rayner describes Domo Sheffield as, “a very jolly Sardinian restaurant in Sheffield.”

Jay went on to say, “They are determined to show you a very good time, and they do.” After tasting the strength of flavours in their seafood stew, the praised “cocoa-dusted rectangle of things done right” – AKA tiramisu and pizza designed for the good people of Sheffield, you too will also recognise the talent behind the team at Domo Sheffield.
Serving endearingly authentic dishes, the team serve specialty soul food. Highlights from Jay’s visit included the Mamuthones, “topped with thick pieces of deliciously fatty pancetta like the best Yorkshire bacon, and crisp rosemary roast potatoes.”

Grab a real slice of the Mediterranean at Domo, a hit amongst the people of the city since 2019. Step inside any time of the year and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to Sardinia. Surrounded by terracotta walls within the 19th century former mill building, there’s no place like Domo restaurant in Sheffield. Just ask Jay Rayner.
