After a fresh makeover and menu re-vamp, the stunning Garden Room restaurant at Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa in Skipton has opened to excite diners.

Garden Room occupies the bright conservatory space of the hotel’s previous restaurant, Burlington, enjoying views over the hotel’s Italian-style courtyard Garden.

Diners can expect a less formal experience, yet still enjoy exceptional modern British food at this iconic Yorkshire Dales hotel.

The menu will use a thoughtful selection of seasonal produce, gathered from nearby farms including the Bolton Abbey estate, neighborhood artisan producers, and Scottish and Yorkshire fish merchants.

Prize is only valid for use at The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa. Prize needs to be booked in by the end of August but can be taken Wednesday – Saturday, before 31st October 2024. Two-hours spa access included. No spa treatments or drinks included. Prize cannot be exchanged and the full prize must be used in one visit. No cash back. Entrants must be 18 years or over. Executive Chef Adam Harper at The Devonshire Arms, Skipton said: ”I feel confident that diners will enjoy this selection of seasonal fayre. The hotel’s historic walled kitchen gardens grow most of the vegetables, salads, herbs, and home-picked fruits.

After the success of Garden Room at the sister hotel, The Cavendish in Baslow, guests were particularly complimentary of simpler dining choices, and relaxed ambiance, inspiring Garden Room’s opening.

Tasty à la carte options include Salt Aged Yorkshire Duck breast, Exmoor Caviar and BBQ’d Garden Salad. Mains include Eshton Herdwich Estate Lamb, Yorkshire Beef Wellington, and Halibut.

This carefully thought-out menu will invite diners to tailor their own dining experience.

Garden Room at The Devonshire Arms’ botanical design and conservatory setting, with teal and floral upholstered chairs and a backdrop of glossy leaved plants, provides a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.

During the summer, a seasonal afternoon tea will be served each afternoon, with an option of tables spilling out into the garden to enjoy the beauty of the courtyard.
