Tapasya@Marina wins sought after Yorkshire Life Food & Drink ‘Newcomer of the Year’ Award

Hull’s newest Indian fine dining restaurant takes home the ‘Newcomer of the Year’ award at a ceremony with a celebratory lunch held at Rudding Park Hotel, Harrogate.  The Yorkshire Life judges, who are experts in their own areas of food, drink and hospitality, have ended months of deliberations and the search for top quality contenders worthy of honours for their talent, innovation and commitment to their customers.
Tapasya@Marina announced their ambitious plans for a striking new restaurant in Hull’s Fruit Market back in October 2016. Tapan Mahapatra and Mukesh Tirkoti the men behind the Tapasya restaurant brand invested £1m in the restaurant. Its opening created over 30 jobs for the city.
Securing this regional award is an accolade that once again sees Tapasya@Marina taking the city’s dining scene to exciting new heights. It is a premier dining destination for local patrons and for visitors to the area that will serve to further define Hull as a leading culinary centre.

Tapasya@Marina’s design features contemporary spaces seating up to 125 people. Guests can enjoy viewing the artistry of Chef and his team of experts working in the kitchen.
The Yorkshire Life Food and Drink awards not only aim to champion innovation but recognise the industries risk-takers. Mukesh Tirkoti said; “Gaining regional recognition for our latest restaurant means so much to us and I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of our customers who nominated us.”
