Man v Food’s Adam Richman visits Leeds in new Food Network series

Food enthusiast Adam Richman, otherwise known as the legend from ‘Man v Food’, has been spotted gallivanting about Leeds filming for his new Food Network series ‘Adam Richman Eats Britain’.
Richman is setting out on a unique culinary tour around the nation, using an OS map as his menu to locate some well-known foods named after the locations where they originated, such as Bakewell, Cheddar and, of course, Yorkshire.
Airing on the Food Network channel on Monday 11th March at 9pm, the first episode will focus entirely on Yorkshire – with Richman set to sample traditional Yorkshire Parkins in Leeds’ famous Kirkgate Market.

As well as tasting some of our country’s finest food, Adam Richman has been meeting with top chefs and food producers from across the nation, exploring their history, ingredients and ‘secrets of famous local fayre’.
On his travels, he has been tasting the classic delicacies of Yorkshire Puddings, Yorkshire Parkin and a Yorkshire tea-inspired dessert (because it really is the best tea in the world).
Making his way through his foodie bucket list, Adam has been spotted making several appearances in Leeds this week – including at The Empire Cafe on Fish Street.

As seen on The Empire Cafe’s Instagram story, Adam Richman paid them a visit in 2023 that we can’t wait to see aired in the show, starting from next week.
Speaking on the exciting visit, Sam Pullan Chef & Owner of The Empire Cafe, told Yorkshire Food Guide: “It was a bit of a surprise to hear that Adam was coming to Leeds and he wanted to visit The Empire Cafe.
“He was super friendly and clearly knows a lot about food. Also surprised to hear about his link to Leeds which you’ll hear more about in the show”.

Despite being a well-known figure in the US culinary world, Adam Richman has deep roots in Yorkshire with family even coming from Leeds.
Showing us some extra sneak peeks on his personal Instagram, Adam was also photographed in the much-loved Kirkgate Market trying the freshest oysters from Hayes Seafood, describing it as “the creamiest oyster I’ve ever had.”
In his post, he says, “Leeds on Leeds on Leeds. You may not know this, but this is where my great-grandfather came from. Amazing visit.”

Back in the States, Adam Richman is more famously known for his many years hosting Man v Food. Visiting various cities across the US, from 2008 to 2012 he faced the biggest eating challenges and tasted a variety of culinary specialties.
Premiering early 2024, his adventures of Adam Richman Eats Britain will be appearing on our screens on Food Network on Monday 11th March at 9 pm.
