Cannon Hall Farm Food Festival returns for 2019 with a packed agenda of gastronomic delights sure to tickle your taste-buds. The four-day event takes place August 23rd – 26th from 10 am – 6 pm and will showcase some of the finest foods the region has to offer alongside food demos, cooks offs, craft traders, live music, plus a funfair and pop-up beach for the kids.

Kommune have teamed up with the wonderful Cotton Yoga to bring you YOGA + BRUNCH every last Sunday of the month. An intimate hour-long session of vinyasa yoga suitable for any level. Marathon Du Malton | 25th August 2019
Yorkshire’s Food Capital, Malton, will be holding ‘Britain’s Tastiest 10K’ for the second year running this August Bank Holiday weekend. Inspired by the Marathon Du Medoc in France’s wine region, this gourmet food and wineathlon goes through an area of Yorkshire famous for its award-winning local produce and beautiful countryside.
Anyone not participating in the ‘Marathon Du Malton’ can enjoy the Street Food Sunday event which will be running from 10am to 4pm. The event is the perfect opportunity to soak up the atmosphere, cheer on the participants and try some mouth-watering dishes and drinks. Find out more.
Street Food Sunday and the additional activities in Malton’s Market Place are free to enter. Tickets to take part in the Marathon cost £25, plus booking fee.

The Micklegate Run Soapbox Challenge, York | 26th August 2019
One of the most popular August Bank Holiday events in Yorkshire – The Countdown is on to York’s Wackiest Race. Join them from 10 am when the race begins, with up to 40 teams competing to be crowned The York Bid, Micklegate Soapbox Champions 2019. Teams will be representing & raising money for their chosen charities by hurtling down the 6-meter ramp based near to the Micklegate Bar & rattling their way down the ancient cobbles towards Ouse Bridge.
Minster FM will be broadcasting live on the day, with live music from local band Sisters & Brothers. A fantastic Food Court & outdoor eating area from Micklegate businesses is reason enough to visit. But if you need more there will be a Fun Fair, Children’s Rides & Super Car Display.
