The Riverfront York unveils new marquee for year-round riverside dining and events
The Riverfront York is welcoming a brand-new winter marquee, giving us all another reason to head to the riverside for food, drinks and events over the coming months.
Located in Bishopthorpe, just three miles from York city centre, the new marquee will provide extra covered seating for guests visiting the Café Bar, offering a cosy spot to escape the cold while enjoying the riverside setting.
Kerrie Cook, Director of The Riverfront York, said: “The new marquee is a fantastic addition that gives guests somewhere warm, comfortable and welcoming to enjoy during the winter months, while also providing an exciting new space for events and private functions.”
The marquee will host a programme of seasonal events, live entertainment evenings and special experiences throughout winter. It will also be available for private hire, making it a potential spot for everything from family celebrations to corporate gatherings.
The addition follows the success of the venue’s popular all-weather pods, as the family-owned business continues to invest in its year-round offering.

Set on the banks of the River Ouse, The Riverfront York is home to the award-winning Bosun’s Restaurant, a Café Bar, riverside accommodation, touring and camping facilities, unique stays and beauty and wellness services.
The marquee will be in place for the winter season, with a packed calendar of entertainment and themed events planned.
