The Rise at The Grand, York has bought its ‘proper good Sunday Lunch’ back to the menu.
This dining experience really ticks all of the boxes for a five-star Yorkshire dining experience.
Led by Executive Chef Kevin Bonello, the team has taken everything they love about a traditional Yorkshire Sunday and curated a delicious menu, designed for relaxed afternoons.
Guests can enjoy a refined take on the British classic, with beautifully prepared roasts, seasonal sides and rich flavours.

Of course, the meal is served in The Rise’s elegant surroundings overlooking York’s historic city walls.
From a succulent slow-roasted aged beef striploin to a warming wild mushroom, sweet potato and chestnut pithivier, there is something for everyone.
Comforting dessert options include a classic apple and rhubarb crumble or a decadent trifle.
Executive Chef Kevin Bonello says, “Our roast celebrates everything we love about Yorkshire; delicious produce, quality hospitality and generous servings.
Sundays are for slowing down, gathering around a table and eating well, and we can’t wait to welcome residents and locals to The Rise to do just that.”

Served in The Rise every first Sunday of the month from April, this delicious roast showcases the best of local produce that are warm, comforting and full of flavour.
