Leeds Feasting at the Yorkshire Post Food & Drink Festival
//= get_the_date( 'dS F Y' ); ?>
This weekend was host to Yorkshire Post’s Food and Drink Festival at Millennium Square in Leeds and what a weekend for it! With some of Leeds best restaurants such as Bilbao Bar and Stockdales, street food traders and Yorkshire producers selling take home treats, we had a feast!
Juniper 1933’s Gin Tin
As soon as we set food in the festival we were impressed by Juniper 1933’s converted horsebox which was host to Yorkshire Gin Cocktails using Whittakers Gin, Tappers Gin and more. Sold in huge goblets we very nearly ended up trying the whole menu!

Best Burger we have had in a long time…
Boss Burgers really did boss it! We opted for their ‘Classic Beef’ and were not disappointed, it tasted as good as it looked.

The future of coffee drinking?
If you didn’t try Artemis Brew’s cold brewed coffee then you missed out. Made in Yorkshire, all natural and with no additives it is delicious and refreshing. We predict that their product is going to be huge!

G+T’s just got a whole lot better!
Slingsby Gin were showcasing their variety of gins, rhubarb gin being one of them. Nice on its own but we can’t wait to try it with prosecco!

Tarte and Berry
Our friends at Tarte and Berry were selling their artisan baked treats, we chose peanut and caramel swirl brownie, raspberry and almond bakewell and caramelised hazelnut brownie. Mouth watering just thinking about these again!

One for the Veggies
Part of Zouk Tea Bar, Chaat Wala were serving up incredible veggie samosas which were topped with chickpeas, onions, yogurt and coriander. With a nice kick of chili and fresh ingredients I was reductant to share this one and actually passed over a quarter….!

Northern Bloc
Rocking up in their retro ice cream van Northern Bloc were not to be missed. Selling their non-artificial and all natural ingredients made in Leeds ice cream with a variety of interesting combinations.

Full Speed Ahead!
Our last stop was Pizza Loco with their impressive trailer which looks like the front of a steam train, complete with wood burning oven and loud tooting whistle! We opted for their Magic Mushroom pizza with sautéed mushrooms, rocket and truffle oil, which was made in a flash with fresh ingredients and tasted amazing.
