North Leeds Food Festival

Back to Roundhay for its 10th year, North Leeds Food Festival is back with delicious street food, music and live chef demonstrations. Expect a bustling atmosphere with something for every foodie.

Learn from the best, with demos from some of our favourite local chefs, Adam Maddock of Saltmoore, Whitby
and Sam Pullan of The Highland Laddie and the Empire Cafe, Leeds.

Great British Food Festival, Harewood House

Taking place in the stunning scenery of Harewood House, Great British Food Festival is a fantastic celebration of food.

The line-up includes over 100 top local and national producers, mouthwatering street food, celebrity chef demos, foraging walks, great live music, kids’ activities and floristry masterclasses.

This festival is also dog-friendly, so it’s perfect for the whole family.

Holmfirth Folk Festival

Up next is Homfirth Festival of Folk, a community festival of live music, theatre and performances for everyone to enjoy.

]There are plenty of free and ticketed workshops for adults and children alike, where you can learn something new  – from guitar to samba.

Whitby Goth Weekend

Whitby Goth Weekend is back to this scenic coastal town for the beginning of May. A celebration of alternative music, literature, fashion and art in the home of Dracula – it’s a fantastic occasion.

Wetherby Beer Festival

Fundraising for local grassroots sports development, Wetherby Beer Festival features a huge beer tent, a champagne bar and a cocktail bar to explore.

Enjoy country tunes and cask ales on the Friday evening, with family fun and kids’ entertainment on the Saturday.

There are alcohol-free options too, and they’ll even be showing live sport on the big screen.

Otley Show

For one day only, join the Otley Show to celebrate all things farming, agriculture, local producers and crafts. It’s a great occasion for all the family, with a tug of war and dog show too.

Explore the artisan crafts and farmers’ markets, taking some goods to indulge in at home too.

Tulip Festival at Farmer Copleys, Pontefract

Spanning over an impressive eight acres, the team at Farmer Copleys have planted over one million bulbs for their annual Tulip Festival.

Winner of the Rural & Farm Event of the Year 2025, head to the farm to admire the flowers, pick your own perfect bouquet and even delve into some Dutch themed food and rink.

Sunday sessions in The Orchard, Grantley Hall

The Orchard at Grantley Hall has undergone a breathtaking makeover for the summer season.

Experience the magic of live acoustic music while enjoying drinks or dinner in The Orchard. From sharing small plates, larger dishes and frozen cocktails, enjoy the beautiful surroundings of this English garden inspired restaurant.

In partnership with Château Minuty, Saltmoore’s decadent Sunday BBQ’s have got even better.

Duncombe Park Country Fair

The original country fair of North Yorkshire, this annual event features a spectacle of horse riding, clay shooting and vintage car displays.

There’s showjumping and even a fun dog show in the main ring.

Between attractions, there are local crafts and foodie vendors to explore, as well as plenty of family-friendly activities. It’s going to be a fantastic May bank holiday

Evening dining at House of Koko

House of Koko, a popular Leeds brunch spot is now offering evening dining on Saturday’s from 5pm.

Expect moreish Lebanese-influenced dishes, a curated list of Lebanese wines, outdoor tables and even DJ appearances. Set within a relaxed atmosphere, this is a new foodie gem to try in the city centre.
