The Woodman Inn at Thunderbridge Supports the Poppy Appeal with the Return of Timothy Taylor Landlord

Family-owned Woodman Inn at Thunderbridge, Nr Huddersfield has a proud tradition of annually supporting the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal. Timothy Taylor’s Landlord pale ale has made a welcome return to the Casque Mark pub, and this year The Woodman Inn has pledged a ten-pence donation to the Poppy Appeal for every pint sold of the award-winning pale ale throughout November.

Former publican, and director of The Woodman Inn and seasoned fund-raiser, David Woodhead, said: “We have always been proud to do our bit in support of the Poppy Appeal. We were not able to do so last year due to the pandemic, nor were we able to have our usual collecting tins on the bar.

We’re determined to double our efforts this year in honour and recognition of so many of our local veterans who are sadly, no longer with us. The collecting tins already have pride of place on the bar, we’re also making a 10p per pint donation on every glass sold of this Champion beer through November. We hope our customers will approve of this move and help us to raise funds for this much-loved Royal British Legion.”

The Woodman Inn at Thunderbridge will run its 10p donation per pint of Timothy Taylor’s Landlord which has just made its welcome return to the family-owned country Inn. The award winning CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain is the perfect accompaniment to Head Chef, Andy Lynam’s new autumn/winter menu. The classic pale ale with its complex citrus and hoppy aroma is the perfect partner for the autumnal menu of venison loin, wild mushroom risotto and pan roasted turbot, bursting with wholesome flavours and seasonal ingredients.
