Yolk Farm eggspands, launching pizza restaurant

A popular farm shop and deli, Yolk Farm has announced they are launching a new venture – handcrafted pizza!

Based in Boroughbridge, York, Yolk Farm attracts visitors looking for quality produce, much of which is grown on-site.

Now, faced with economic challenges, Yolk is hoping to attract a new crowd and proactively expand its offerings.

“At Yolk Farm, we are committed to navigating these challenges while staying true to our values and the team we’ve built,” says Emma Mosey, owner of Yolk Farm.

The latest project, Yolk Farm Pizza Co will open every Friday from April 4th from 5 pm to 9 pm, perfect for the warmer evenings ahead.

The site is also dog-friendly, so you can take your furry friend for an evening stroll while you enjoy a bite to eat!

Handcrafted pizzas on offer will be made with fresh ingredients. sourced locally from the Yorkshire region when possible, and customers can expect a classic margarita pizza or plenty of inventive topping combinations to choose from.

Of course, there will be cold beers or soft drinks to wash down your pizza too.

In the past, Yolk Farm’s eggs have proved the real star of the show, and the site is home to the world’s first egg restaurant situated on a real working free-range egg farm.

Their brunch cafe serves up all the classics,  the full ‘York’ shire breakfast, pancakes and sweetcorn fritters with poached eggs to name a few.

York is home to some of the best restaurants in the region, and it’s great to see the culinary scene expand. We can’t wait to add this one to our foodie bucket list and pick up some cupboard essentials too.
