The Black Bull Inn, Moulton
In a charming village near Richmond, you’ll find The Black Bull Inn, which serves dishes made with fresh ingredients from its kitchen garden. The Yorkshire wagyu steak is a standout item on the menu, complemented by a selection of local ales and delicious cocktails.

The Lister Arms, Malham
The most quintessential Yorkshire Dales pub, The Lister Arms, is situated just a stone’s throw from the famous Malham Cove. They serve an array of award-winning ales, offering charming hospitality, proper Yorkshire beer and local, seasonal produce.
With miles of walking trails all around you, The Lister Arms welcomes four-legged friends.

The Red Lion, Burnsall
Set just off the River Wharfe, The Red Lion is an iconic Yorkshire Dales Landmark. If you’ve spent the day enjoying the sunshine by the river or are looking to cosy up by an open fire, this is your place.
Book a table in their restaurant area and enjoy some incredible local dishes from their handcrafted menu, including their mouth-watering Sunday Lunch. Expect to be surrounded by a great atmosphere and even greater views.

The Fountain Inn – Linton
Just five minutes away from the popular village of Grassington is Linton, where right in the centre sits the Fountain Inn, an idyllic Dales pub. With a beautiful stream just on the doorstep, it’s like something out of a film.
Take a seat in their bar and enjoy a local cask ale or move over to their snug and dive into some Yorkshire pub classics. Think delicious pies and fish and chips – the perfect fuel for a day out exploring.

Tan Hill Inn, Richmond
Tan Hill Inn is certainly worth a visit, just make sure it’s not snowing, or you might be there longer than you anticipated. The highest pub in Great Britain and famous worldwide, their food and drink aren’t all they have to offer.
Sweeping views of rolling hills and the Yorkshire countryside are the perfect accompaniment to freshly prepared pub plates, including their famous stuffed Yorkshire pudding or the Tan Hill hotpot.

The Angel at Hetton, Skipton
Having been awarded a Michelin Star in the 2025 Michelin Guide, The Angel is said to have pioneered gastropubs all the way from the 15th century. A stunning stone building set right in the Yorkshire Dales, this isn’t your ordinary pub.
Chef Michael Wignall and his wife Johanna transformed The Angel in 2018 with a truly showstopping menu. There’s mastery behind every dish, making this pub one of the best in the Yorkshire Dales.

Wensleydale Heifer, Leyburn
Local produce, local suppliers – this is a real Yorkshire pub. Having an in-house smokery, Wensleydale Heifer are famed for their meat and fish. Surf and turf and a pint of Yorkshire’s finest ale makes for a very good afternoon.
Father and son Lewis and David Moss have mastered relaxed dining with a family atmosphere and a beautifully cosy interior.

The Craven Arms, Appletreewick
In the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, nestled in picturesque Appletreewick, is The Craven Arms. Delivering classic pub food, with their meat sourced from the Wharfedale pastures and game from the local gamekeepers.
An iconic spot from All Creatures Great and Small, the pub is another Yorkshire Dales monument. Take a seat outside and soak up all the panoramic views that make this one of the best pubs in the Dales.

Blue Lion, East Witton
Three-time winner of Dining Pub of the Year is The Blue Lion in East Witton. Surrounded by the beautiful Dales, the local area hosts many outdoor sports, walking, fishing shooting. You name it – you can do it.
After a long day of adventure, what better way to relax than with a pint of ale from Black Sheep Brewery in Masham and indulging in the Blue Lion’s seasonal a la carte or famous Sunday lunch.

Sportsman’s Arms, Pateley Bridge
Set in the stunning Nidderdale valley, the Sportsman’s Arms is a proper family-run Yorkshire Dales pub in the picturesque market town of Pateley Bridge. Dine on a locally sourced menu, often serving game shot within a mile of the restaurant, as well as Nidderdale Trout, Nidderdale beef and home-cured gravadlax.
Couple Ray and Jane Carter have managed the Sportsman’s for over 30 years, championing local produce and creating a warm, welcoming environment. It’s very much a family affair.

The Falcon Inn, Arncliffe
Emmerdale has Yorkshire written all over it, so where else for a true Dales experience than the original Woolpack pub from the set of ITV’s Emmerdale. Unspoilt and covered in ivy is this not-so-hidden gem, serving up a hearty and wholesome taste of Yorkshire, famed for their iconic pork pie and mushy peas.
The Falcon Inn is so traditional that they still serve beer straight from the barrel using a porcelain jug! Nestled in 150 years of history and tradition, this is one of our favourite Yorkshire Dales pubs.

The New Inn, Appletreewick
Just alongside the Dales Way Trail and sat right next to the River Wharfe, is the New Inn Appletreewick. It’s the perfect place to spend a weekend walking through the dales and relaxing amongst panoramic views of the Dales.
They’ve carefully selected the finest Yorkshire beers to showcase the best of what the region has to offer. As well as a menu that features small plates alongside some larger pub classics.
Dating back to the 16th Century and family-owned, they pride themselves on a warm Yorkshire welcome and a great place to gather throughout all the seasons.

The Blue Bell Inn, Kettlewell
With six charming en-suite bedrooms and a menu of rustic and homely hand-cooked pub grub, The Blue Bell Inn is not one to miss.
Head Chef Michael Pighills is a patron of Kettlewell’s foodie scene, having won many awards at sister pub The King’s Head, including Sunday Times Pub of the Year. Taking over management in 2019, he’s poured some more of his heart and soul into the Blue Bell Inn.
You’re in the perfect location, really in the crooks of the Yorkshire dales. It’s perfect for walking either up Great Whernside or something more relaxed down the River Wharfe. If you’re visiting the Blue Bell Inn, make sure to try their famous Blue Bell Inn Pie!

The Gamekeeper’s Inn, Threshfield
Once a gamekeeper’s cottage, The Game Keeper’s Inn is now one of the best pubs in the Yorkshire Dales, serving the finest local ales and incredible homemade food. They’re famous for their pub classics like a Sunday lunch, but keep things contemporary with daily specials like tapas and steak nights.
