Under the stewardship of owners Michelle and Matthew Birtley, the quaint 17th-century inn serves up award-winning pies and puddings – all made in house. Food here is served in the bar area, which its website advises “you will share with the locals, farmers, their dogs – and even possibly a visiting darts team.”
