Grantley Hall Unveils Exceptionally Rare Cognac by the Glass

Grantley Hall, Yorkshire, has been selected to serve LOUIS XIII Black Pearl by the glass from 9th September 2026. The exceptionally rare new release from LOUIS XIII Cognac will offer guests the opportunity to experience one of the house’s most coveted expressions.

Limited to just 398 decanters worldwide, including 27 in the UK, LOUIS XIII Black Pearl is now available by the glass at Grantley Hall, offering guests exclusive access to this extremely rare cognac.

Inspired by Le Grollet, the historic cellar where the story of LOUIS XIII began, Black Pearl features an exceptionally rare eau-de-vie selected by Cellar Master Baptiste Loiseau from the House’s historic reserves.

The release is presented in a distinctive midnight-blue decanter, inspired by the mystery and depth of Le Grollet.

At Grantley Hall, the cognac will be housed in a bespoke Cooling Cellar in the Norton Bar, designed to recreate the cellar’s conditions at temperatures as low as 13°C.

A custom American walnut and brushed brass trolley allows the decanter to be brought directly to guests across the hotel’s restaurants and bars for a personalised serving experience.

The arrival further strengthens Grantley Hall’s relationship with LOUIS XIII. The hotel is currently the only venue in the world to house every LOUIS XIII format, from the 5cl Miniature to the ultra-rare Rare Cask 42.1. A 25ml measure of LOUIS XIII Black Pearl is available for £1,200.
