Yorkshire Christmas market named the UK’s largest one-day event

Beverley Christmas market is back and better than ever

Situated on the cobbled streets of a beautiful historic town, Beverley Christmas market is set to attract thousands this year according to the BBC.

Sponsored by one of the best boutique hotels in Yorkshire, The Beverley Arms, the town will welcome over 120 stalls and vendors to join them in celebration of their 28th year of the flagship event.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s cabinet member for culture, leisure and tourism, Councillor Nick Coultish said: “It is always hugely popular, with visitors from all over the UK coming to enjoy the festive stalls and entertainment.”

“We look forward to welcoming residents and visitors as we get into the festive spirit in preparation for Christmas.”

This year’s event will take place from 10am to 4pm, taking over the Saturday Market area, North Bar and the Wednesday Market area, with links to Flemingate Shopping Centre.

The Minster will hold its annual Christmas Tree Festival as per tradition of the Beverley Christmas market, with plenty of entertainment across the town including Victorian fairground rides and face paint for the children. The medieval church will be adorned with an unprecedented 125 displays, all creatively decorated by local organisations.

Danny Martin, Marketing Director at Daniel Thwaites, added: “The Beverley Arms is delighted to continue to showcase its support for Beverley’s annual Festival of Christmas.

“Not only does this event mark the beginning of the festive activities throughout the local area, but it’s an occasion which many look forward to.”

Add Sunday 8th December for The Beverley Festival of Christmas to the calendar, along with the dates of other popular Christmas markets in Yorkshire too.

You can find all the details about the event on the Beverley Festival of Christmas page.
