Bars in Wakefield, KRAFT Koffee

KRAFT Koffee

If relaxing is what you are after, then look no further than KRAFT Koffee. The venue works as a dual personality as a coffee shop and cocktail bar. The cafe side has a selection of locally sourced coffee (from Leeds’ North Star plus regularly featured guests) and delicious baked goods.

Born out of KRAFT barbers which it shares a business space with, it is the only barbers in Wakefield where you can legally have an alcoholic beverage. After the coffee shop closes in the afternoon, the bar is then transformed in the evenings into KRAFT Kocktails. They have worked with SALT beer factory to create their very own exclusive KRAFT Helles Lager.

The Golden Pineapple

This bar in Wakefield is like no other on the list, The Golden Pineapple is a Tiki bar but with a Victorian twist. The theme sounds unusual but if you are wanting an escape to paradise whilst sipping on a tiki cocktail (or two) then there is nowhere better.

Bars in Wakefield, RBT Video

RBT Video

This is certainly one of the quirkiest bars in Wakefield on this list. Fronted by a VHS rental store, this entry has a secret that if you were going past, it is highly unlikely you would know that a cocktail bar lies behind. To enter the hidden establishment, you must guess their movie of the week which can be found on their website. Once inside you are transported back to a 1980s-themed speakeasy-style cocktail bar.

The bar specialises in in rum, bourbon, and tequila and there is New York-style pizza on the menu to complement. If that isn’t enough, their rear cocktail garden plays host to many events such as sit-down discos, resident food trucks, and an outdoor cinema.
