3 Yorkshire Pizza Restaurants Named the Best in the UK

The Times has shortlisted the very best pizza places in the UK, with three restaurants in Yorkshire making the cut.

Creci Pizzeria, York

Named by The Times writer Hannah Evans as a “neighborhood jewel”, Creci Pizzeria shares authentic Neapolitan pizza with the York community and has become an absolute favorite with the locals. Try their Salsiccia e Porcini pizza, topped with Fior di latte mozzarella, sautéed porcini mushroom, fennel-flavoured sausage and pecorino romano cheese.

They also have lovely desserts, a rum baba cake soaked in syrup to be enjoyed with fresh espresso. It’s one of the best restaurants in York.

Rind, Autswick

Situated in the Yorkshire Dales, Rind serves up delicious wood-fired pizzas and specialises in their range of British cheeses. Partnered with The Courtyard Dairy (named as the best cheese shop in the UK), try the three cheese and walnut pesto pizza, or sweet but spicy chorizo and chilli honey.

The Times’ writer Hannah Evans recommended: ‘“Order the Two Roses pizza: smoked Kirkham’s Lancashire, Yoredale Wensleydale, onion cream, braised leeks and cranberries.”

Dough Eyed, York

Right next to the bustling Shambles Market, Dough Eyed is a foodie favorite for its fresh pizzas and the large range of cocktails.

Burrata and pesto, salami or maybe just a classic margarita, it’s not surprising that this restaurant has been picked out by The Times as one of the best in the UK.

Their craft beer on tap is constantly changing, so you can pop-in and pair a pint with your pizza. They don’t take bookings for smaller groups, just turn up.
