Bosun’s at The Riverfront needs your votes to win prestigious award!
A popular York restaurant, Bosun’s, located at The Riverfront York, has been announced as a finalist in the Best Restaurant and People’s Choice categories of the prestigious Yorkshire & Humberside Family Business Awards 2025.
Situated idyllically in Bishopthorpe on the banks of the River Ouse, Bosuns has frequently been recognised for its outstanding culinary standards, creativity, and consistency.
Earlier in the year, they were even awarded two AA Rosettes.
Now, the Yorkshire & Humberside Family Business Awards 2025 will take place on Friday, November 21st, 2025, at The Royal Armouries in Leeds.
The award ceremony is to be hosted by Dave Clarkson and Sue Howorth of The Family Business Community, alongside renowned food and drink writer and presenter, Nigel Barden.
Co-owner of The Riverfront York, Kerrie Cook, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be recognised in both categories. This nomination reflects the passion and hard work of our entire team, and the incredible support we’ve received from our guests and local community.

Bosun’s restaurant is led by Executive Chef, Kurtus Auty, who competed on MasterChef The Professionals and previously worked for The Gordon Ramsay Group and The Cliff in Barbados.
Alongside their award-winning restaurant, The Riverfront York is also home to river-based activities, a 25-pitch Caravan Park, six cosy cabins offering unique stays, a children’s play area, Café Bar, Pizza Oven and Beauty Salon.
