The Box Tree, Ilkley, gives nod to history before landmark renovation

Exciting news from one of Yorkshire’s favourite dining spots, The Box Tree Ilkley. The restaurant is making a substantial £500,000 investment to enhance its future, starting with a fantastic refurbishment this August.

After its final service on Saturday, August 1st, The Box Tree will take a little break before reopening on Wednesday, September 9th.

The talented team at Studio Two, award-winning interior designers known for creating memorable spaces, will lead the refurbishment.

They’re committed to enhancing the atmosphere of The Box Tree while preserving the warm character and rich heritage that have made it special since 1962.

This investment marks a thrilling new chapter for The Box Tree, reinforcing its dedication to exceptional hospitality and its ability to evolve while staying true to its roots.

Alongside the revamped interiors, you will be able to enjoy a reimagined dining experience, with each aspect carefully thought out to complement Head Chef Brayden Davies’ fresh take on British cuisine.

Expect the finest Yorkshire ingredients mixed with influences from British and Australian dishes.

Before closing for the refurbishment, they’ll be hosting The Box Tree: Eras, a special four-week dining series that celebrates some of the most memorable moments in The Box Tree’s culinary journey.

Available on Saturday, July 11th, Saturday, July 18th, Saturday, July 25th, and Saturday, August 1st, indulge in a specially curated tasting menu that features beloved dishes from the past 60 years, including some favourites from the Michelin-starred era, created by Chef Brayden and his team.

At just £115 per person, The Box Tree: Eras is a wonderful opportunity to experience the charm of the restaurant one last time before this exciting leap forward.

The Eras dinners are inspired by the chefs, dishes, and memorable moments that have shaped us over the years, while reflecting where we are today. We’re really looking forward to what’s next.
