Gail’s to open first Yorkshire bakery in Harrogate
//= get_the_date( 'dS F Y' ); ?>
GAIL’s, a premium bakery specialising in handmade bread, pastries and cakes, is set to open in the North Yorkshire market town of Knaresborough.
The popular bakery chain has taken London by storm, first opening in London’s Hampstead High Street in 2005. Today, there are over 150 branches in the UK, and we’re excited that GAIL’s will finally be reaching Yorkshire.
GAIL’s, Harrogate
From an almond croissant to their crustless pies, hearty sourdough sandwiches and sweet treats, this spot has a huge range of baked goods to pick from. They also serve up classic coffees, matcha and iced lattes.

We think this new opening will be a great addition to Harrogate, a popular town for weekend walks, a potter around the quirky shops and of course, a rowing boat trip on the river Nidd.
We’ll be visiting GAIL’s for a well-deserved post-walk lunch, or an afternoon pick-me-up.
GAIL’s uses quality ingredients in their baked goods, priding themselves on working closely with their suppliers.
The chain also aims to keep surplus food to a minimum, wasting as little as possible. They set aside any leftover food from the bakeries and donate it to 95 charities in local neighbourhoods.
GAIL’s Harrogate is expected to open in time for summer, so keep your eyes peeled for this one and other new openings in Yorkshire.
