What to expect from the Great Yorkshire Show 2025
Coming back to Harrogate this year for their 166th show, The Great Yorkshire Show is back to welcome families and friends to the huge 250-acre showground.
It’s a popular four-day celebration of all things farming, agriculture, food and countryside and is quickly being known as the biggest and best agricultural show in the UK
140,000 people are invited to join in the family fun, but tickets sell out quickly!

National Breed Shows and Demonstrations
This year will see the Show host five national breed shows, with Aberdeen Angus, Longhorn and Charolais cattle and Zwartbles and Kerry Hills in the sheep section.
To mark the Presidency of Geoff Brown MBE, Chairman of Ripon Farm Services, two of the latest John Deere tractors took up prime position in the Main Ring, which will also be on display at the Great Yorkshire Show.
New to the equine rings this year are Suffolk Punch, the handsome and heavy draught horses from that county, which are always chesnut (traditional Suffolk spelling) in colour and are classified as a critically endangered breed by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust.
For the first time, the Show also welcomes British Miniature horses, bred to resemble quality riding horses but standing only 87cm high.
Famous faces at The Great Yorkshire Show
TV presenters Helen Skelton and Matt Baker MBE, Rob and Dave Nicholson, of Cannon Hall Farm (which hosts Channel 5’s Springtime on the Farm series), and popular Peter Wright of Channel 5’s The Yorkshire Vet will appear on the Ariat GYS Stage in a series of chat shows hosted by TV presenter Christine Talbot.

Entertainment and activities
There’s something for every foodie at The Great Yorkshire Show, with great food, local produce and cookery demonstrations.
Some of the best animals in the UK are coming to compete across 21 sections, from showjumping to cattle, pigs and hives.
There’s fashion, and chat shows hosted by TV presenters Helen Skelton and Matt Baker MBE, Rob and Dave Nicholson, of Cannon Hall Farm.
A return of the hugely popular Atkinson Action Horses will be the Main Ring attraction for next year’s Great Yorkshire Show.
