As another half-term fast approaches, parents begin frantically assembling a packed schedule to ensure the kids remain entertained for the week. Fortunately, we’ve compiled a wide list of fantastic February half-term activities in Yorkshire your little ones will love.
Instead of dreading a half-term locked indoors, take the family out and explore all of these exciting places hosting things to do in Yorkshire.
Half-term activities for the adventurous
Easter Trail | Burton Agnes Hall, Driffield
From the 5th to the 21st of April, children are invited to get involved in an easter event hunt around the grounds of Burton Agnes Hall. There are 25 huge, hand-carved and painted wooden eggs hidden in the woodland, all you need to do is find them all!
On your adventure, you’ll get to solve clues, learn about the history of Easter and explore the beautiful grounds. You’ll even get a little pouch of chocolate eggs to start you off setting your own egg hunt.
Save room for lunch as their wood-fired pizzas are to die for.

Easter Adventure Quest | Whitby Abbey & Scarborough Castle

Filey Food Festival | Evron Centre, Filey

Tulip Festival, Farmer Copley’s | 12th -27th April
The Copley family have been farming for over 140 years, selling award-winning farm produce straight from their farm. Honey, gelato, delis and craft beers to name a few – there’s variety, but quality is not something they mess with.
Coming up this April is their tulip festival, and the team have planted 517,000 individual bulbs consisting of 65 varieties. There will be two dedicated pick-your-own areas, so you can pick your tulips – keep them for yourself or gift them to a loved one!
This has to be one of our favourite half-term activities.

Whether it’s rain or shine, there are plenty of Yorkshire countryside walks to choose from.
