If you’re looking for an easy route, the walk from Malham village to Malham Cove is ideal. The well-maintained path follows Malham Beck before reaching the foot of the dramatic limestone cliff, taking around 30–45 minutes each way.

For the best views, climb the stone steps to the top of the cove, where you’ll find the remarkable limestone pavement stretching across the landscape.

Long Walk

For those wanting to explore more of the Yorkshire Dales, the popular Malham Cove circular walk takes in several of the area’s most famous landmarks. This route includes Malham Cove, Gordale Scar and Janet’s Foss before returning to the village, covering around seven miles.

Along the way you’ll experience waterfalls, dramatic limestone scenery and peaceful countryside, making it one of Yorkshire’s most scenic walks.
