Prashad Celebrates Zayn Malik’s Seal of Approval with 1,000 Free Chaats

Former One Direction member Zayn Malik has named Prashad his favourite UK takeaway, and he’s mentioned their delicious samosa chaat not just once, but twice.
Zayn revealed during a Q&A session with Banquet Records that every time he’s back home, he has to get Prashad’s samosa chaat.
To celebrate this, Prashad Bradford is giving away 1,000 free portions of Zayn’s favourite chaat until the end of July. All you have to do is ask for “Zayn’s favourite” when you order.
When Zayn was asked about his must-have Deliveroo order, he said: “So there’s this place in Leeds, it’s called Prashad.
“People seem to know it. And they do this amazing samosa chaat there, so I always get it.”
Later, when talking about what he misses most when away from the UK, he mentioned his mum’s cooking but quickly followed up with, “Prashad. I get samosa chaat from there every time I’m back, so yeah, that’s the one!”
The video, shared by a fan, got over 500,000 views and sparked Prashad’s owners, Bobby and Minal Patel, to offer 1,000 complimentary portions of their signature chaat to share the enjoyment.

For those who aren’t familiar, samosa chaat is an Indian street food that features smashed hot samosas topped with chickpeas, potatoes, yoghurt, chilli, and a tangy tamarind dressing. Head Chef Minal Patel describes it as “a medley of textures, where sweet meets tangy in a way you just can’t get enough of.”
Owner Bobby Patel said, “It’s the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for us. It’s always been our most popular dish, and clearly Zayn has great taste. Once you try it, you just get it. We want to share that experience with as many people as possible.”
Originally a deli started by Bobby’s parents back in 1992, Prashad Bradford is still family-run, with Bobby and Minal blending bold, tradition-rooted flavours with a modern twist on Indian dining.
