Biggest new openings coming to Yorkshire

Rizia’s Bottega

Get ready to try a taste of Italy with this new Italian Deli and Coffee House, Rizia’s Bottega. Set to open this August, located in Ben Rhydding just outside of Ilkley.

This new foodie hot spot is family-run and prioritises authentic Italian dishes with a warm, welcoming ambience. With passionate chefs and exciting dishes, this is a must-visit spot whether you’re settling in for a cosy meal or stopping by for some premium coffee.

albertos farmhouse

Albertos Farmhouse

Albertos Farmhouse is a farm-to-table Italian restaurant that has just opened its doors at the Kip and Nook Hotel in Manfield. It specialises in fresh pasta, hand-stretched pizzas and seasonal shared plates.

This warm and relaxed Italian welcomes all the family and has the unique opportunity to meet the friendly goats and donkeys on the property too.

flower belt helmsley

The Flower Belt, Harrogate

Following the popularity of their Helmsley site, The Flower Belt has now opened in Harrogate. There is no entrance fee or booking required, just turn up, pick the flowers that are calling your name and only pay for those.

After brightening up your day with some flowers, take a break in their on-site café, The Honey Tap, for a cup of coffee or pizza. Decked with fairy lights, outdoor heaters and cosy blankets, the Honey Tap is a perfect place to end the day after flower picking.

Moods

Moods is bringing a fresh all-day hospitality concept to Leeds with the opening of its new venue at First White Cloth Hall on Kirkgate, led by chef Craig Rogan.

Blending a café, restaurant and evening bar, expect speciality coffee and brunch by day, a relaxed dining offering, and cocktails as the venue transitions into the evening. Moods is set to become a stylish new destination for everything from morning coffees to after-work drinks.

Crumb

Crumb bakery is set to open its second location in Masham following the success of its popular Sheffield location.

This artisan bakery is family-run and features a selection of baked breakfast pastries, sourdough, doughnuts and fresh sandwiches. This popular spot will be arriving in Masham later this summer, so keep your eyes peeled for this amazing bakery spot that you should definitely add to your list.

Earls Yard Sheffield

Earls Yard

Located on Mathilda Street in Sheffield city centre is free to enter and provides the perfect setting for a hang out with friends.

This social venue is home to multiple street food vendors on rotation, plenty of outdoor seating and a stage for its frequent live musicians. Earls Yard is the perfect open-air social spot that acts as a community hub that provides a great night of good food shared with friends.

My-Delhi-Leeds-Opening-PR

My Delhi, Leeds

Making its first move to Yorkshire, My Delhi will be joining Leeds’ vibrant restaurant scene just a short walk from the famous Greek Street at Hepper House.

Having built a successful name for themselves in Newcastle, Sunderland and Leicester, we cannot wait to try their famous kebabs cooked over charcoal in the tandoor and mouthwatering slow-cooked curries in September 2026.

66 Sheep Street, Skipton

Opening in Skipton this Autumn, Masterchef star Tom Rennolds has a simple vision: an independent bakery, bar and bistro serving good food, great drinks, and creating a welcoming space.

Whether it’s a morning coffee, a long lunch, drinks with friends, or a special occasion, they hope to create a place that feels like a real part of the community.

Calluna, Saltmoore

Saltmoore’s brand-new dining concept, an immersive fine-dining restaurant, will be a place where each dish tells a story of the seasons and the incredible local landscape.

With an already incredible menu at The Brasserie, headed up by Adam Maddock, we can’t wait to see what they do with Calluna.

Dishoom Leeds

Dishoom, Leeds

Next on our new restaurant openings in Yorkshire list. Expected to open later this year, where Leeds’ Flannels used to be, a taste of Bombay is coming to Vicar Lane. Dishoom is a well-established Indian restaurant known throughout the UK for its flavorful curries and impressive Bombay dishes.

We can’t wait to try Dishoom’s breakfast naans when they open this August 2026!

Sticks’n’Sushi

Danish-based, Sticks’n’sushi is gracing Leeds with its award-winning sushi and Yakatori. Planned for opening in early 2027, we have a bit to wait for this taste of Japan – but we know it’ll be worth it.

Offering that Scandi serenity, this is the perfect spot to let the food do the talking and enjoy some exquisite Japanese cuisine down on Vicar Lane.

New restaurant openings in Yorkshire you might have missed…

Byre, Bolton Abbey

From the brains behind previous Michelin-recommended Emba, Liz Cottam is working on her next thing, Byre.

It is a small dining room and kitchen found in a former dairy farm above Bolton Abbey, offering a beautifully seasonal and local menu, cooked in wood-fired stoves, close to the dining table.

Domo Sheffield Sharing Italian Plates - Sheffield graduation restaurant

DOMO, Leeds

Our favourite Sardinian spot in Sheffield is extending an olive branch to Leeds. From Aperol Spritz to perfectly formed burrata, this will be a very welcome addition to the Italian foodie scene in Leeds.

With no official date for their opening, we’re eagerly waiting for their new venue at Tower Works in Leeds city centre.

Gilt Bakehouse, Harrogate

Harrogate is now officially home to the ultimate sweet treat destination with Gilt Bakehouse.

This small bakehouse serves an incredible selection of bakes made by owner Rob, whose fruitful career has seen him work with the likes of  Yotam Ottolenghi, as well as experience in Australia.

We popped along to visit for ourselves, and just had to try he medjool date egg custard tart and the creamed corn, jalapeno, lime salt and parmesan brioche. Both delicious, and great for a picnic on the stray.

Another Brother York

Another Brother, York

Up next is a new brunch spot opening, Another Brother. Brought to us by Sheffield brothers Joey and Eddy, this Aussie-inspired cafe serves up breakfast classics and great coffee.

Taking over a bright and airy space, we’re sure this new cafe opening will prove a hit in York’s city centre.

Trattoria Maria, Sheffield

From the creators of Bench and Bench la Cave, Jack Wakelin and Tom Aronica have opened the doors to Trattoria Maria, their version of traditional Italian dining, inspired by their Sicilian roots and childhood summers spent enjoying Italian cuisine.

Trattoria Maria is on Wellington Street, in the former Henry’s Wine Bar. You can expect their classic, open, sociable style of interior, but with typical Italian hospitality and warmth.

Bume York

Brume, York

From the family behind El Gaucho York, Brume is a new coffee spot and wine bar come the evening, nestled on Walmgate.

This neighbourhood spot will be hosting run clubs and wine tasting events to get involved with, so there’s something for everyone. We’re looking forward to giving this spot a try ourselves.

Ambiente paella, new openings in Yorkshire

Ambiente, Beverley

Paellas, platters and Spanish-inspired tapas, Ambiente is a favourite for tapas in Leeds, Hull and York. Now they’re bringing Spanish flavours to the market town of Beverly.

You can expect all the dishes that have given these guys a name for great tapas in a 120-cover restaurant – you’ll have to give it a try for yourself.
