REVEALED: best hotels in Yorkshire shortlisted for national award  

The UK, Europe & The Mediterranean Conde Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence has shortlisted two of the best hotels in Yorkshire for a top award.

Grantley Hall, Ripon, North Yorkshire

Grantley Hall, a hidden gem nestled in the Yorkshire Dales in Ripon has been nominated for the Best Hotel Spa.

The luxurious escape to tranquility offers five restaurants, including Michelin-star awarded Shaun Rankin, a selection of rooms and a state-of-the-art nordic Spa and Gym experience.

Each suite is uniquely designed and decorated with traditional decor, with a blend of modern sophistication. In their bar and restaurants, Grantley Hall will take you on a journey around the world with their variety of cultural dishes and experiences.

The showstopper, Three Graces Spa, embeds a wellness philosophy based on balance and equilibrium – unique to you. There is no surprise this could be named The Best Hotel Spa in England.

The Grand, York, North Yorkshire

Next up, The Grand in York, a magical five-star retreat fit for a royal has been shortlisted for Best Urban Hotel.

The Edwardian hotel hosts an award-winning cookery school, named The Cookery School of the Year, as a fine dining legacy with tasting menus and pairing wines, awarded AA Notable Wine List accolade.

The Rise, their three AA-rosettes Terrace and Bar includes a garden terrace for alfresco dining and afternoon teas, escaping the bustling city.

Possibly one of the best hotels in Yorkshire, the architectural facades have been preserved over the years, encapsulating the impressive history of the building.
