Saltmoore, Sandsend launches Father’s Day celebration

You can celebrate Father’s Day on 21st June at Saltmoore this year, with a day of clay pigeon shooting.

Saltmoore is welcoming GBX Shooting for a day of clay pigeon shooting led by expert instructor Graham.

Set against the open landscape near Sandsend, this is an opportunity to try something different together, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your aim.

Each session is carefully guided, with a focus on safety, technique and enjoyment.

Sessions will run throughout the day from 10:00 am, with each experience lasting approximately 30 minutes.

Groups are kept small, with one instructor per eight participants, ensuring a relaxed and attentive environment.

20 clays per person – £35
One-hour private lesson – £130

No age restriction, provided participants are able to safely handle the equipment.

All equipment and instruction are provided, allowing guests to simply arrive and enjoy the experience.

Whether as part of a wider day at Saltmoore or a standalone experience, clay pigeon shooting offers a distinctive way to mark the occasion, combining fresh air, friendly competition and expert guidance.

Advance booking is required, with limited spaces available across the day. Payment must be made at the time of booking and is non-refundable.

Guests are invited to join us afterwards for our Father’s Day BBQ and live music on the terrace, continuing the celebrations into the afternoon.
