One of our favourite restaurants in York, and the perfect spot if you’re graduating in York, is Pearly Cow. With beautifully elegant interiors and an evening menu that will have you swooning.

There are 45-day aged steaks, North Sea oysters with merlot vinegar and shallots, and their iconic salt-aged Côte de Boeuf – you won’t be leaving this spot hungry.

This is the ideal, picturesque restaurant for your post-graduation meal in the historic city.

Corner Grill House

Just up from the river Ouse, Corner Grill House is an award-winning steak restaurant, ideal for a group get-together after your Graduation in York. The meat used in their dishes is supplied by a family-run farm and butcher, R&J Yorkshire’s Finest.

Paired with a glass of red, this York restaurant is a steak lover’s dream. If you’re after something different, they do offer fresh seafood dishes and moreish desserts to end your celebratory evening on a sweet note!

The Rise Restaurant, Bar & Terrace

Within York’s only five-star hotel, The Rise is an AA Rosette-awarded restaurant which showcases spectacular British dishes, using ethically sourced ingredients.

Head Chef Kevin Bonello has a wealth of experience, having worked in the Michelin-starred restaurant De Mondion. You’re definitely in safe hands with this spot.

Sora

What better way to celebrate your graduation in York than with pan-asian small plates, fresh sushi and zingy cocktails on the rooftop terrace of Sora Skybar.

Tasca Frango

Offering a more casual setting than some of our picks on the list, Tasca Frango serves up authentic Portuguese tapas in the city centre, and doesn’t compromise on flavour.
