The Schoolrooms & Assembly

The Schoolrooms is the perfect place to kickstart your day in the Peak District, from delicious breakfast and brunch dishes to a hearty lunch.

The aptly named Schoolrooms resides in a former Victorian Schoolhouse in the heart of Low Bradfield, right on the edge of Sheffield and the beautiful Peak District. One of Sheffield’s best restaurants.

The Schoolrooms Cafe & Kitchen sources ingredients locally, wherever possible, and freshly makes the majority of their menu items onsite to create wholesome dishes, bursting with flavour. Highlights from the menu include their generous full English breakfast, Bradfield Brewery steak and ale pie, and infamous afternoon tea. If you want something lighter there’s a selection of sandwiches, salads, small plates, cakes and pastries.

The Schoolrooms have extensive seating arrangements both indoors and outdoors and welcome everyone who frequents the village of Bradfield including, but not limited to; walkers, runners, cyclists, bikers, rowers, sailors, children and well-behaved dogs.

Assembly Bar & Bistro

Assembly is their late-night, neighbourhood Bar & Bistro, working the evening shift on behalf of The Schoolrooms.

​With the help of their talented chefs, showcasing a superb dining experience for all occasions and putting a modern twist on traditional British dining. With an ever-changing menu of the very best seasonally grown and locally produced ingredients. 

Guests can enjoy a selection of small plates and snacks, mouthwatering mains and delicious desserts. Highlights from the menu include, oak smoked salmon with roasted beetroot, pistachio herb-crusted rack of lamb and Bakewell pudding with vanilla ice cream.
