Known for their famous multi-layer ‘Bruce’ chocolate cake, Get Baked is set to be making an appearance in Fortnum & Mason’s flagship store in London.
Following the success of their Leeds-based bakery in Headingley, Get Baked is reaching new heights of success this Summer in the big smoke!

Famous for its 24-layer ‘Bruce’ cake, the London pop-up will showcase Get Baked’s brand-new ‘Bertha’ cake, featuring a new blend of milk and dark chocolate ganache. A whole cake will set you back £160, with a single slice costing a whopping £17.
And that’s not all. Also exclusive to the London pop-up, visitors can also buy a new Knickerbocker Glory Pie, featuring vanilla-flavoured cake and raspberry jam topped with a vanilla and raspberry ganache, hazelnuts and glace cherries.

Anticipating big crowds at their patisserie counter, Get Baked is giving out early access passes so fans can enter the store an hour before it opens at 10 am, with 4 slices of ‘Bertha’ available per ticket.
Speaking on Instagram about the Fortnum & Mason collab, Get Baked owner Rich Myers said: “I feel like the north of England doesn’t get enough credit for what it brings to the table, and it’ll be nice for really posh people in London to feel the warm embrace of a Leeds cuddle.”
“Bertha’s ganache recipe is a very specific combination of both milk and dark chocolate, so she has the depth and maturity of Bruce, but she’s sweeter, and more palatable for the gen pop.”

The pop-up will be taking place over the next two months from 22nd August, with visitors able to get exclusive access to the new cake 3 days before it goes on general sale from their Headingley store and online.
