Harrogate Favourite Restaurant 92 Launch Small Plates Pop Up Restaurant
Restaurant 92, headed up by the talented Michael Carr who was crowned ‘Harrogate’s Chef of the Year 2017’, has announced an exciting new small plates dining concept within their neighbouring Bacchus Wine Bar.
Launching on 8th March, the pop up will feature a quirky menu of tasty small plates at an affordable price. A unique concept for Harrogate, designed for sharing and to provoke discussion. What’s more on the opening night get your first two small plates complimentary when when ordering four or more.
Restaurant 92 is renowned for its young team who provide outstanding relaxed fine dining, with listings in both the Good Food Guide and Michelin Guide 2018 recommended. Bacchus Wine Bar adjoined to the restaurant allows diners to enjoy a before or after dining drink, or visit specifically to try their selected range of wines, beers, cheese and cured meats.
Ian Humphrey’s – Co-Owner Restaurant 92 said: “When we started to put our heads together about how 92 could provide a better experience for those people who want to pop into Bacchus for more nibbles than dinner and most importantly how to give the diner a choice, a Pop Up came to mind. You get the option of a lighter more casual menu, where the food sharing experience that we provide at Bacchus is combined with taste and flavour of the Restaurant 92 kitchen. Most of the dishes are inexpensive and therefore perfect if all you fancy is a glass of wine and a light bite for lunch or your evening meal.”
Dishes include; ‘The Bubble Dog’, a homemade 100% lean pork, apple and sage sausage served in a brioche bun with kimchi sweetcorn and spring onions, English mustard mayonnaise, and freshly grated truffle served with a glass of champagne. Fast food meets style.
Their ‘Crab in a Bag’ dish is a play on the salt and shake crisps, with beautiful tempura soft shell crab in a brown paper bag with a season yourself concept, accompanied by chilli mayonnaise and cured scallop roe. Season yourself in the bag, rolled up, stick on your 92 logos, shake and enjoy. Delicious.
Michael Carr said: “I’m really excited to bring our small plates pop up to the Harrogate food scene. We want to showcase that you can try a variety of tasty interesting dishes at low cost, alongside Bacchus Bar’s amazing beers and wines. Bacchus provides a relaxed, casual atmosphere where you can pop in at any time and eat as much or little as you’d like. Fine dining without the nonsense, cutting through the formalities.”
With only 18-20 seats up for grabs, they will work on a first come first served basis. With their young team, outstanding food and Bacchus Bar’s atmosphere, we’re expecting big things for this unique pop up.

Sunday 12.20 to 4.30pm
Evenings
Wednesday to Friday evening 5.30pm to 9 pm (not available Saturday evenings).
