My Delhi, Leeds
Making its first move to Yorkshire, My Delhi will be joining Leeds’ vibrant restaurant scene just a short walk from the famous Greek Street at Hepper House.
Having built a successful name for themselves in Newcastle, Sunderland and Leicester, we cannot wait to try their famous kebabs cooked over charcoal in the tandoor and mouthwatering slow-cooked curries.

Forbici, Sheffield
A new pizza hotspot has opened in Sheffield, Forbici, offering the freshest pizzas and decadent desserts, using quality Italian ingredients.
Owned by Individual Restaurants, this spot is loved in Manchester, known for its cutting approach to pizza, both literally and figuratively, using scissors to cut their pizza in true Neapolitan style.
We’re excited to get our first proper slice of the action!

DOMO, Leeds
Our favourite Sardinian spot in Sheffield is extending an olive branch to Leeds. From Aperol Spritz to perfectly formed burrata, this will be a very welcome addition to the Italian foodie scene in Leeds.
With no official date for their opening, we’re eagerly waiting for their new venue at Tower Works in Leeds city centre.
Sticks’n’Sushi
Danish-based, Sticks’n’sushi is gracing Leeds with its award-winning sushi and Yakatori. Planned for opening in early 2027, we have a bit to wait for this taste of Japan – but we know it’ll be worth it.
Offering that Scandi serenity, this is the perfect spot to let the food do the talking and enjoy some exquisite Japanese cuisine down on Vicar Lane.
The Smithfield, Leeds
Opening its doors in early April, The Smithfield is a reimagined version of the former Reliance. Expect a casual, produce-led dining experience coming soon to North Street in Leeds.
This is an exciting collaborative project between Yorkshire brewery Crooked Brewing and chef James Donovan, drawing on their shared passion for local connection – we can’t wait to see it!
Gilt Bakehouse, Harrogate
Harrogate will soon be getting the ultimate sweet treat destination with Gilt Bakehouse this April, marking its opening with a free hot cross bun with any hot drink purchased.
They’ll be serving an incredible selection of bakes made by owner Rob, whose fruitful career has seen him work with the likes of Yotam Ottolenghi, as well as experience in Australia.

Once Upon a Vine to join Headingley’s foodie scene, Leeds
Once Upon a Vine is a popular independent wine shop/bar in Horsforth, Wetherby, and soon to be Headingley!
With a fantastic selection of wines, sharing plates and nibbles to snack on, we have no doubt this will be a welcome addition to Leeds.
LAMENTATION, Boston Spa
Award-winning and Michelin-star-earning celebrity chef, Michael O’Hare, is making his mark back in Leeds. After the closure of The Man Behind The Curtain and Psycho Sandbar, he’s taken a year’s hiatus and come back with something very exciting.
This February, the intimate dining concept seating only 16 covers, Lamentation, will be opening in the affluent suburb of Boston Spa. If Michael’s previous work is anything to go by, this will be a showstopping new restaurant opening.
Gus Wellness, icebaths, sauna and cafe to open in Sheffield
Coming soon to warm us up in these winter months is Gus Wellness. Joining the increasingly popular Cambridge Street, this new spot is soon to leave you feeling rejuvenated – with ice baths, saunas and fantastic coffees.
With Scandi vibes and a cosy feel, we’re looking forward to giving this spot a try this December.
Pole Pole
North Street’s refresh has also seen the opening of Pole Pole, a Swahili phrase meaning “slowly, slowly” or “step-by-step,” meaning let the mountain come to you.
Pick from an appetising selection of artisan bakes perfect for soaking up the calmness alongside a speciality brew.

Wet, York
This is one of our most exciting new restaurant openings in Yorkshire: WET, a bar featuring rotating seasonal small plates, batch cocktails, and a great selection of quality natural wines.
It opened in late October, and we can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store! WET is open on Micklegate – one of our favourite foodie streets to visit when in York.

Ambiente, Beverley
Paellas, platters and Spanish-inspired tapas, Ambiente is a favourite for tapas in Leeds, Hull and York. Now they’re bringing Spanish flavours to the market town of Beverly.
You can expect all the dishes that have given these guys a name for great tapas in a 120-cover restaurant opening soon – keep your eyes peeled for more information!
Hatsu, York
Sleek, chic and fresh on the scene is Hatsu, York’s newest Japanese restaurant. Located on Petergate in a stunning Grade II listed building, they’ve revamped the interior to a contemporary Japanese haven.
Things are still very much under wraps, but we’re expecting Hatsu to open within the next few weeks.

Trattoria Maria, Sheffield
From the creators of Bench and Bench la Cave, Jack Wakelin and Tom Aronica are opening Trattoria Maria, their version of traditional Italian dining, inspired by their Sicilian roots and childhood summers spent enjoying Italian cuisine.
Trattoria Maria will be on Wellington Street, in the former Henry’s Wine Bar. You can expect their classic, open, sociable style of interior, but with typical Italian hospitality and warmth.
They’ll be sticking to using seasonal British produce where possible for their menu, which will host all the Italian classics. Keep your eyes peeled for more information on their opening.

Dishoom, Leeds
Next on our new restaurant openings in Yorkshire list. Expected to open later this year, where Leeds’ flannels used to be, a taste of Bombay is coming to Vicar Lane. Dishoom is a well-established Indian restaurant known throughout the UK for its flavorful curries and impressive Bombay dishes.
We can’t wait to try Dishoom’s breakfast naans when they open this summer!

Brew York to transform historic East Yorkshire market hall
Brew York, which operates taprooms and bars across Yorkshire, announced plans for a new food hall and event facility last month in the former Goole Market Hall.
Known for its amazing craft beer selection, Brew York is also hoping to provide a new space for creative businesses to host commercial and community events. For any craft beer lovers out there, this is definitely a new restaurant opening to look out for this year.
