Pranzo Italian in Horsforth, Chef Marco’s opens third site in Yorkshire

Pranzo Italian Horsforth is set to be Chef Marco Greco’s third site in Yorkshire, it has been revealed.

The popular Yorkshire Italian restaurant already has two successful sites in Ilkley and Harrogate, now it is eyeing up a third location in Horsforth.

Chef Owner Marco Greco is reportedly putting £350,000 into transforming a former Barclays Bank building on Town Street into another Pranzo site.

He opened his first Pranzo Italian site in Ilkley in 2018, followed by the Harrogate site in 2021.

Speaking on the new opening, Mr Greco revealed that he had had his eyes on a Horsforth site for a while as he described it as a “fantastic town”.

He told The Yorkshire Post: “We’ve had our eyes on Horsforth for a while. It is a fantastic town with some stunning independent venues to eat and drink, we are looking forward to becoming part of the community.”

He continued: “We can’t wait to open our third restaurant in Horsforth. There’s a real community feel here, with lots going on in the town.

“We wouldn’t be where we are today without the support of Pranzo customers and a great team, many of whom have been with us from the beginning.”

The family-run Pranzo Italian restaurants are known for their homemade pasta dishes – all inspired by Greco’s nonna.

Fresh pasta at the restaurant is made in house daily and is complimented by a large selection of fine Italian wines.

The eateries offer a range of different menus, including a main menu, vegan menu and light lunch menu. Pranzo Italian also offers a dedicated menu for children, meaning that there’s something to suit everyone – even the fussy little ones.

The new site in Horsforth is set to open in May 2024, with the new opening anticipated to push the total number of Pranzo Italian employees over 100 as the site looks to hire 35 new positions.
