The Yorkshire hospitality scene is thriving, with fantastic new Michelin-recommended fine dining emerging throughout the region.
Now, three North Yorkshire venues, Fifty-Two, The Old Deanery and The Plough have proudly announced they are beginning the new year as Michelin recommended.
Fifty-Two at Rudding Park, Harrogate
Led by Great British Menu contestant Adam Degg, Fifty Two celebrates nature, using quality local produce in an immersive dining experience.
The new venue welcomed food enthusiasts in May 2024 and has since secured a Michelin recommendation, despite being open for just eight months.
The venue only has a few tables, creating an intimate setting where you can observe the expertise and skills of the kitchen team.
With the weather allowing, guests are even invited to explore the Kitchen Garden before taking a seat to enjoy the seasonal, surprise-tasting menu.
It is completely unique, and there’s no wonder the positive reviews keep pouring in for Fifty-Two.
They get booked up in advance pretty quickly, so make sure you reserve your spot.
The Old Deanery, Ripon
The Old Deanery in Ripon is a 3AA Rosette Restaurant, offering five-star dining that is now Michelin-recommended too.
Only in November 2023, Head Chef Adam Jackson and his team took over the venue, transforming the historic Jacobean mansion into an elegant home for culinary experimentation.
From delicate grazing menus at lunchtime to afternoon tea overlooking the grounds, The Old Deanery has proved popular with locals and visitors alike.
Their evening tasting menu is accompanied by an extensive wine list, and within an elegant setting, it’s a real treat.
If you want a true sense of escapism, there are eleven rooms to stay in at The Old Deanery, with views of the neighbouring cathedral and its vast gardens.
The Plough, Wombleton
Owned by a well-versed hospitality duo, The Plough in Wombleton has also made the Michelin recommended list.
Encompassed by the Yorkshire countryside, this 15th-century pub and restaurant is known for its homely feel and generous dishes.
The Plough offers a range of menus throughout the week, with either a two or three-course Sunday lunch being a standout favourite.
It’s an ideal stop-off point for hungry hikers and those exploring the neighbouring walks, although with only one chef and very limited tables, booking in advance is highly advised.
Yorkshire is boasting with plenty of culinary delights, and with so many Michelin star restaurants to devour, these latest recommendations don’t come as a surprise.
