So you’ve signed up to Veganuary. You’ve stocked up on tofu and googled 100 different ways to eat kale. No one said it was easy going green, but don’t fret – there has never been a better time to be a vegan in Yorkshire.
We’ve rounded up some of the best vegan-friendly eateries in the region to keep you on the right track for the month of January or beyond.

Prashad, Drighlington
Put all your Vegan-trust in the hands of Prashad and their family-run foundation of good, honest, North West Indian food. Located in Drighlington, you’ll find entirely meat-free dishes that don’t sacrifice taste or substance.
The team and head chef Minal have won a plethora of foodie awards, and are one of the best places for authentic indian food in the country, and it just so happens they’re vegan-friendly. Perfect for Veganuary.

Three’s A Crowd, Harrogate
A modern all-day dining gastropub with stunning views of the Harrogate Stray parkland. Headed up by multi-award-winning Chef Lee Murdoch, who utilises the best local produce to curate an ever-changing menu of classic favourites with a modern twist.
Their mouthwatering menu features plenty of vegan options, making Three’s a Crowd a must-visit this Veganuary.

Veganuary: Classes at The Cookery School at The Grand, York
Satisfy those cravings for deeply warming, hearty dishes that everyone fancies during winter. This half-day cookery class teaches you how to create a range of dishes that are full of flavour but minus the meat.
Book onto a vegan course and learn how to serve up a vegan feast fit for hosting, treating your friends or even just for fun!

Indian Tiffin Room, Leeds
Bringing the pure authenticity of quality Indian food to the streets of West Yorkshire, Indian Tiffin Room has an extensive vegan menu.
Oozing with rich spices and flavours, the Indian Tiffin Room has made a name for itself for being the best place for street food you’d find in India. Whether it’s small sharing plates or traditional curries, their vegan menu has it all!

Veganuary: Farmhouse, Harrogate
Serving up brunch classics with plenty of veganuary-friendly plates all day until 5 pm, Farmhouse is a firm favourite this January. Our favourite is their full vegan breakfast, giving all the vibes of a full English minus the meat. Delish.
As for drinks, pair your brunch with cocktails, mocktails, smoothies, or a quality hand-roasted coffee and soak up the vibrant atmosphere that radiates in Farmhouse.

Craft & Dough, Sheffield
Choose from a promising Vegan pizza menu as their ‘Here Comes The Sun’ pizza contains courgettes, balsamic onions, coriander relish, creamy San Marzano Tomato and sunny pumpkin seeds before having rocket sprinkled on top.
Or, if you’re visiting for vegan brunch, they do a crafty cruelty-free breakfast, which a guilt-free baked meringue can perfectly complement.

Veganuary: Shears Yard, Leeds
Leeds foodie favourite Shears Yard offers an evolving vegan menu guided by seasonality and local produce, making it one of the best destinations for Veganuary.
Previous vegan dishes include Salt-baked celeriac velouté, smoked almond, caper & raisin vinaigrette, or for mains, a perfect winter warmer of aubergine & tomato dopiaza, curry roasted cauliflower and cucumber salsa.

From the legends that are Bring Me the Horizon, their frontman has brought us Church – Temple of Fun. They’re bringing an entirely vegan menu to Sheffield’s thriving foodie scene.
With a characterful old building converted into a cool music venue, bar, meet restaurant – this is such a cool place to visit in Sheffield.
