There’s a fabulous array of Yorkshire food festivals in the region, celebrating delicious food, small businesses and quality produce.
From samples, to chef demonstrations, street food and live music – there’s a huge array of food festivals in Yorkshire to get stuck into. So, mark your calendars, here’s our favourite.
Yorkshire Food Festivals 2026

Scarborough Food Festival | 11th – 12th April 2026
Hosted at Scarborough’s Open Air Theatre, this free-to-enter festival is going to be one not to miss! Expect 50 independent, international food stalls offering a variety of delicious dishes from around the world.
Try a new cuisine and choose your sweet treats, preserves and crumbling cheeses to take away and enjoy at home. There will be popular fairground rides to keep the kids entertained, as well as a tipi bar for the adults.

York Chocolate Festival | 1st – 5th April 2026
From Rowntree’s to Terry’s, York has a rich history of producing some of our favourite iconic confectionery. Many of the original factories still remain today, and you can learn all about the city’s ties with chocolate at York Chocolate Story.
For those who have a bit of a sweet tooth, the York Chocolate Festival is the perfect family-friendly foodie event. Taste plenty of samples, watch live chocolate sculpting and shop for easter treats.

Tower Works Street Festival, Leeds | First weekend of every month, from May to September 2026
The team behind the award-winning North Leeds, Harrogate, Ilkley & Riverside Food & Drink Festivals has collaborated with Mustard Wharf to bring back the Tower Works Street Festival for the second year running.
Taking place in the Tower Works neighbourhood on the waterside, this free-to-attend festival brings a whole new street food and makers market concept to Leeds.
Expect a jam-packed lineup of some of the best street food and drink vendors, as well as plenty of live music and entertainment for the perfect family-fun day out.

North Leeds Food Festival | 9th – 10th May 2026
Returning to Roundhay Park for its 10th year is the North Leeds Food Festival, set to showcase a variety of the best food and drink. Expect expert chef demos from some of our favourite local and region-wide chefs, organised by us here at Yorkshire Food Guide.
This one is taking a well-deserved spot on our list of the best Yorkshire Food Festivals.

Whitby Fish & Ships Festival | Dates to be announced
For all you swashbuckling samplers, live chefs are cooking up local fresh seafood at the Fish and Ships Fest. Take a tour of real ships and trawlers in the harbour, as well as the historical sailing museum, and a replica of the HM Bark Endeavour to explore.
With a singing and dancing seafaring show in the line up too, head down to the docks to see what the fuss is about. You might even spot a pirate or two!

Great British Food Festival, Harewood House, Leeds | 23rd – 25th May 2026
Taking over Harewood House for a weekend in May is the Great British Food Festival, promising an action packed bank holiday!
The line-up includes over 100 top local and national producers, tasty street food, celebrity chef demos, a BBQ stage, great live music, kids activities and men v food. Even better, your festival ticket includes free entry to Harewood’s magnificent house, gardens and grounds.
The Great British Food Festival is also dog-friendly, so it’s perfect for the whole family.

Sheffield Food Festival | 23rd – 25th May 2026
Three whole days of great grub and smashing pints are what await you at Sheffield Food Festival. The annual weekender offers local produce for foodies to dig into, as well as a hub of talent from Sheffield-based businesses.
Experience Sheffield’s finest food, drinks and music at this free festival in the heart of the steel city.

Filey Food Festival |April 4th – 5th, June 6th-7th, August 8th – 9th, and October 10th – 11th, 2026
Stroll around 60 booths featuring the best produce from across the Yorkshire region, as well as beyond. Spend an amazing day with the whole family and tuck into homemade cakes and bakes, locally caught seafood, sweet chocolates and so much more.
Savour street food cuisine from the Caribbean, South Africa, Italy, Greece and Thailand. The festival is based in the Filey Evron Centre and beautiful Crescent Gardens, perfect if you’re spending a weekend by the sea.

Ilkley Food Festival | 13th – 14th June 2026
The Ilkley Food and Drink Festival will arrive at East Holmes Field on 13th – 14th June 2026, showcasing a huge selection of the best food, drink, performing arts and talented chefs in the area.
Based right next to the river Wharfe for that picturesque sunset scene and set over two days, the Ilkley Food Festival has everything you need for a family fun-filled weekend. High up on our list of the best Yorkshire Food Festivals to attend.

Harrogate Food & Drink Festival | 27th – 28th June, August 22nd-23rd 2026
Harrogate Food and Drink Festival returns to The Stray (June 27th – 28th) and Ripley Castle (August 22nd – 23rd), promising interactive tasting experiences and a weekend full of live entertainment.
Fill your boots mooching through the stalls and then chill in a deckchair and watch the live performers with your loved ones. There’s child-friendly fun too, with soft play and an inflatable wonderland, making this one great Yorkshire Food Festival.

Great British Food Festival, Wentworth Woodhouse | Dates to be confirmed
Between a Viking Village, dog-friendly area, mini zoo, and the obvious street food and live music, you can be assured visiting this Yorkshire food festival at Wentworth Woodhouse will be nothing short of exciting!

Stroll around a festival dedicated to all things chocolate, or experience the main event at their September Festival with live chef demos, art, stalls and kids baking fiestas.
