DEVour at The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa | 5th – 10th November 2019
The Devonshire Arms 4-Star rated Hotel & Spa is located at ‘The Gateway to The Dales’, in picturesque Bolton Abbey. Established as one of the finest country house hotels in the North of England, complete with forty individually styled bedrooms, spa, 4-AA-Rosette Burlington restaurant and 1-AA-Rosette Brasserie. DEVour at The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa is a 6-day event showcasing the culinary talents of some of the most talented chefs in the UK and even as far afield as Denmark, including a handcrafted six-course tasting menu each evening and optional accompanying wine flight. Each evening Head Chef of The Burlington restaurant Paul Leonard will co-host with a different guest Chef, resulting in a convivial series of guest events, to tantalise the taste buds of even the most serious foodies. Carefully selected for their varied style and approach, the six Chefs boast five Michelin stars and armfuls of industry awards between them.

Tuesday 5th – Paul Profitt, from Henne Kirkeby Kro, a 2 Michelin-starred restaurant on the west coast of Denmark. Paul followed his heart there some four years ago, moving his family to create a new life with his Danish wife. The simple sophistication of this carefully crafted six-course menu, conjured up by the two Pauls, is sure to delight. This event is sponsored by Goodfellows, an industry leader in ‘sexy’ tableware and catering equipment.
Wednesday 6th – Luke French, from Jöro, a Sheffield-based, 3-AA rosette restaurant with a Bib-Gourmand, renowned famed for its small plates and use of native ingredients. The two Chefs will be cooking up a Nordic-inspired six-course menu for the evening, with a subtle nod to the Orient. This event is sponsored by Hodgson Fish, the leading fish supplier of the North East, which supplies many leading hotels and restaurants in the North. Thursday 7th – Adam Smith, from Restaurant Coworth Park which holds a Michelin star. Adam will be back on his old turf to cook up a six-course classical feast for the senses with co-host and successor, Paul. Adam has won many of the industry’s most prestigious titles, including in 2017, ‘Master of Culinary Arts’, one of the highest accolades there is. This event is sponsored by Wellocks, an ingredients supplier who source local farms and produce to promote an excellent range from a small pantry items to grocery staples and fresh produce. Friday 8th – Adam Reid, from Adam Reid at The French; restaurant of The Midland Hotel, Manchester. Adam is Chef Patron and has won many accolades during his short time at the helm, including 4 AA rosettes. Guests are in for a treat with the collaboration of these two Chefs. This event is sponsored by R&J Meats, a long-established purveyor of meats and poultry from the Dales which serves many top establishments in the North. Saturday 9th – Lee Smith, from Samphire on Jersey, which was recently awarded a Michelin star. The restaurant pays homage to fresh produce, and guests are in for a delectable dining occasion with Lee partnering Paul for this special evening. This event is sponsored by Corney and Barrow, one of the oldest wine merchants in UK, based in London, it has been established for over 230 years.
Sunday 10th – Tom Shepherd, from Michelin-starred Adam’s Birmingham, Brummie-born Tom has honed his culinary talents with guidance from some legendary Chefs, including Michael Wignall and Sat Bains, and this evening will be a fitting close to a spectacular week. This event is sponsored by Courtyard Dairy artisan cheesemaker and suppliers of Britain’s finest cheesemakers, in association with Buon Vino, importer, retailer and wholesaler of high- quality wines made with natural methods.

Each of the week’s gourmet events will commence at 7 pm, starting with a Laurent Perrier Champagne reception. Room (B&B included too, double or twin) and two tickets for the event are £400 per couple for midweek/Sunday evenings, and £450 for the Friday/Saturday evening events. An optional wine flight is £75 per head. Non-Residential Offer – A strictly limited number of non-resident tickets are available for the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings so that guests can enjoy a truly memorable meal for a more reasonable cost – six-course dining event, with Champagne reception – £105 per person (£180 inc wine flight).
